It's only gross if you leak everywhere...which I'm guessing is why OP thinks it is cause she's dirty and has some sort of yeast infection. Tons of women don't wear underwear or bras. It's not gross.

Bra's are okay not to wear thats your opinion, but not wearing underwear could increase the risk of yeast infection, or bacterial infection.

You can get yeast infections other places too. When I was 12 I had one under my lip becuz I had braces and it made me drool (ew ew ew!!) at night and back to the post I thing women should wear like sexy lace thongs, see through silk lace, etc... Like me ;) anyway without undies is GROSS but better than granny panties :& And bras, ladies bras! We need to keep those girls up so the hot guys can see em better. And sagging= :*@ yup. That means GROSS!!

I don't wear underwear and I've never gotten an infection or "leaked" anywhere, because I'm not constantly horny therefore not wet. It's perfectly sanitary and it's a personal choice. If you think it's gross, that's fine. But I personally enjoy it.

... You are aware that underwear INCREASES your chances of getting a yeast infection because of the restriction, not being able to "breathe" or something like that. As for not wearing a bra, well, you'll understand once you're out of school that no one gives a shit about this stuff anymore and just does what makes them comfortable. In my opinion, panty-lines look way more terrible than not wearing any underwear at all.

Just because a girl has discharge and isn't horny doesn't necessarily mean something's wrong and she needs to see a doctor. Discharge is normal. And some girls have a wetter... set-up... than other girls, even while not being horny.

I rarely wore knickers until one day when I wore a skirt that I didn't realise was see through when the sun shone through it. I was with my kids in the play area of a pub. My husband was inside ordering and then he went to the gents. The guys in there were talking about some slut outside with no knickers on. When he finally came outside he realised that I was the slut they were talking about. To make matters worse he didn't tell me immediately he waited until we were inside seated! I was so embarrassed especially as I knew several mums from the school has seen me. True, I feel like everyone boys and girls growing up before they dressed themselves...their parents dressed them and put them in underwear, so it just seems strange that one day after being so used to wearing it people decide to stop - specifically girls. I've noted that it only seems the underwear debate is amongst women, guys continuously wear their boxers and if they aren't they aren't broadcasting it. And to be honest yes - like someone mentioned before women "leak", they are supposed to, when you aren't on your period, you will discharge throughout the course of the month But as some of the guys have pointed out there is a slutty stigma around girls who don't wear underwear, and yea that is fairly true, there just seems to be no practical reason to stop wearing underwear. Like I said before, boys are still wearing boxers - they have a lot more to stuff in their underwear - and if they aren't wearing boxers well they haven't been broadcasting it like girls do which suggests girls who choose not to wear underwear want to broadcast it and want people to know. Honestly it just seems a tacky and unhygienic way to make yourself appear sexy to boys.

I always wear underwear and I have never gotten any type of infection. You get infections from not being clean enough, sleeping around, not using condoms, using spermicidal condoms, having guys touch you without making sure they wash their mouths/hands/genitalia, and from not wiping your rear well enough. At least wear a thong. No underwear is not sexy at all. Advertising it attracts the wrong guys. It usuallly means you are insecure, easy, desperate, even dirty. Grow up and put your panties on little girls.

As an OB/GYN, I will tell that it is actually healthy to not wear underwear all of the time. The prime time to not wear them is when you go to bed at night. Ladies: no matter how clean you are, you can still develop a yeast infection. The amount of discharge is actually not enough to be "running down your leg". If you have so much discharge that it is running down your leg, you do need to get your hormone levels checked. Wear underwear when you have excessive vaginal moisture will actually set you up to develop a yeast infection, because yeast thrives in moist dark crevices.
