because of his claws, they go back into his hands and since they are rock hard he shouldn't be able to move his wrists :)

His claws are actually stored in his forearms and then slide into his hands completely when he wants to use them. Of course, he has to keep his wrists straight for the hand-forearm transfer, but he can bend his wrists when the claws are fully in his hand or fully in his forearms.
