+152 You would probably be able to use only a keyboard to work a computer but you wouldn't ever be able to only use a mouse, amirite?

Virtual keyboard. All operating systems have them. Just dig around in "accessibility" or whatever. Keep trying, though.

Uh, I think this should be the other way around. Most computers have a virtual keyboard that you can use with your mouse, but unless you have a text-based operating system or use a tablet or something, I don't see what good a keyboard's going to do you if you don't have a mouse.

Woooaaahhh! Thanks to these comments, I now know about this virtual keyboard (that I am using to write this comment) and I'm way more excited than I should be!

My mom used to lock me out of the computer, until I changed myself to admin and took her off....so then she would take away the keyboard or mouse. Whichever cord she unplugged first. But yea, you can still work it missing one. It just takes longer.

You can set the virtual keyboard so you can use just the mouse. You can set the NUM keys to become the mouse. Both work fine for using just one of the two needed. I have had to do it a few times both ways and it aint too bad. Though neither would be needed for a touch screen computer.

Tablets FTW. You need neither keyboard nor mouse. Just the ability to put up with software that can sometimes be temperamental.
