+706 Why didn't Harry, Dumbledore, or anybody just use a time turner and kill baby tom riddle with their bear hands; amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

because killing a baby would be immoral, and it would screw up the future. Remember when they used it and Dumbledore told them they couldn't let anyone see them? Imagine if they KILLED somone..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Down'd cos all I want to say to your first sentence is well, shit, son!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You pretty much won the debate right there... haha. But still, it's funny to think about.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Cos they have people hands. :o

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly. I mean, if they had the hands of a bear, of course they would! But with people hands? Psh, no way... XD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

THEN THE BOOK WOULDN'T BE INTERESTING! DON'T MOCK ROWLING!!!! (Jokes, ;) )

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol, do you want me to edit it to bare hands (and remove that pointless semicolon)? Also, yeah, time travel is actually very dangerous, not only might some people see them that could totally screw up the fabric of time, but I'm sure that the way J.K. Rowling's world works, killing someone in the past wouldn't negate their existence. It might just make another branch in the timeline, which wouldn't eliminate his threat at all. YA KNOW?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha yes please. :P And yeah I figured there's a definite reason why it wouldn't work, but like I said it's fun to think about. :]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The story would be no fun if dumbledore killed a baby.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And if they did kill him, they'd have to live the next 50 or so years again.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's true! But I didn't think about that :P I was only thinking about how the future would be screwed up. Remember Back To The Future? With the book and Biff getting rich. Everything changed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

haha i wish i had bear hands. and that's an interesting idea. but then where would the series go?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

We do all have the right to bear arms. http://cricketsoda.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/right-to-bear-arms-shirt.gif

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Shaan.): Haha that just made my day. XD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That'd be a lot of hours to turn back. Like thousands and thousands of turns.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Shaan.): I was gonna say the same thing

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Shaan.): And the dagger can only turn back a minute! Wait...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

one hour, thank you very much :) lol

Time turner[:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What spell gives you the hands of a bear?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wizards with bear hands? New level of awesome. Oh, my.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*bare It would change the future.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hmmm...I've never thought of that. Good logic! The Ministry needs to like permit you to have a time turner though...Idk...I guess Dumbledore could just be like "Bitch, I'm Dumbledore, gimme that shit." But I guess a lot of things would be different if Voldemort never became who he was...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What if Dumbledore got caught murdering baby Riddle?? Then he'd be in Azkaban and the wizarding world would never know the 12 uses of dragon blood. And also, Harry's life would be quite dull.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but when dumbledoor dies, harry's life barely changes. so it wouldnt make much difference. except if dumbledoor was replaced by snape... ouch...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

too many variables in 50 years. there's no telling what would happen. also think about this: why would harry and dumbledore go back in time to kill him if he never existed? he died as a baby to---people from the future, but if they therefore never went back in time to kill him, because that is illogical, then it stands to reason that he grew up to be what he became, because said persons never time travelled to murder him. Also, harry would definately not be one of them anyway, because he was never important, because voldemort never had a chance to mark him, because he was dead from infancy. so there =P im not one of those annoying pricks btw that ruins the fun in everything, i just had a theory to share. i really do think the other comments are good and funny, and haha "bear hands" i want to know which spell that is lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Mind blown :O And oh gosh bear hands. I wish I had seen that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dead babies solve everything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If Harry had bear hands, he wouldn't have needed a time turner to kill voldemort.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Where can I get bear hands?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

via a bear
