+129 If you believe in the creation story doesn't that mean you don't believe in dinosaurs? amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In religions, such as Islam, it is suggested God created many millions of living organisms before Adam and Eve.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh. I didn't know that. But for people who believe in it as it is said in the bible and take it literally wouldn't it mean they don't believe in dinosaurs? I am not criticizing christians at all I am christian but I believe in the creation story more as being like a parable not literally what happened and this is just something I have always wondered

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God created dinosaurs. They were there the same time as all the other animals.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah I agree with you. Religious references shouldn't be taken literally

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yea, and I think it is dumb that people get angry with eachother for believing in different religions especially when the main beliefs are so similar.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Same :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hey, in the Bible, animals were created before man was. Why does that rule out dinosaurs?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Everybody YouTube Kent Hovind, aka, Dr. Dino =)

In judaism we believe that the Flood caused things to age unnaturally and that's why the fossils seem so old. (this theory was written before discovering fossils) just something to think about :)

um im atheist and go to a Christian school.. and i asked them how come there where no dinosaurs on noahs boat.. and they said that man could have created dinosaurs with like DNA from lizards or something.. and that only god created creatures could go on the boat.. but yeeaahh.. i was like.. suuurree. . eh could be right... i guess? lol

here's an answer buddy: Noah took dinosaurs on his ark. Baby dinosaurs are rather small, and becasue they're babies they will be able to reproduce later in life.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dinosaurs are actually mentioned in more then one place in the Bible. They are referred to as the "behemoth" and the "leviathan." There are also many Creationist theories as to why they died out. For example, they may have not been able to survive and reproduce in the new world climate after Noah's flood. They may have been so feared by man that they were hunted to extinction. The majority of Creationists know that dinosaurs existed, they just do not believe that they lived "65 million years ago." In fact, they believe the dinosaurs lived at the same time as people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yes thank-you. someone knows what they're talking about!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

NUH-UH! THE EARTH IS ONLY 6,000 YEARS OLD! GOD JUST PLANTED ALL THE FAKE DINOSAUR BONES TO PLAY A JOKE ON US!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I really hope you are being sarcastic or joking...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LOL WTF?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes dinosaurs are mentioned in the bible animals such as crocodiles, alligators, sturgeon, etc. Are considered dinosaurs.there is a jungle deep in africa that is under speculation because natives have seen large towering animals such as t-rex's, stegosaureses, etc. But see the climate changed drastically after the flood and may have caused dinosaurs to die out or run to lands where they could survive.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Nothing against religious people, but I just cant understand how anyone could buy the creation story.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you do enough research you would "buy" it too. It's easier to not believe but more productive to believe. If you really want to find the truth then look for it. Don't think you just know it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The mixture of ignorance and intelligence here on both sides amazes me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God did create dinosaurs! It even talks about them in the bible!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

the behemoth, and the leviathan are both mentioned in the Bible. They are likenesses of dinosaurs, but we can never be sure if they are dinosaurs, because we never saw them. I don't think it's crucial to know that. like, if we don't believe in dinosaurs or DO believe, it's not going to influence where we go after death: heaven or hell. So it doesn't matter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're all fucking retarted. Day 6 says God created the animals who roamed the earth. ATTENTION DUMB-ASSES: DINOSAURS ROAMED THE EARTH....and then died. so get a fucking brain and actually read the Bible before you go saying bull shit. You make yourself sound like a fucking retard.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You believe in the bible so I'm going to assume you're a christian. Yet you're cussing every other word. Way to represent.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just because he/she uses bad language doesn't mean he's "not a good christian"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Christians don't use profanity.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's a stereotype. No one really knows what an actual "cuss word" is. Humans made curses, and decided which words would be curses.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

James 5:12 ESV But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That proved nothing..."Bitch" "Fuck" "Damn" "Ass", yeah, we decided those were swears.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Also, the word dinosaur was invented hundreds of years after the Bible was published. So like the guy before me said, they used words such as Behemoth and Leviathan

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@Strangler317- woah. That seems pretty harsh, and not the best way to correct someone, or tell them you think they're wrong. I really didn't care what you had to say after the first sentence. Let's think before we type, shall we?
