Although, to be fair, I think "word's" was purposely written with the apostrophe to be ironic since the poster mentioned "punctuation... [losing] their meaning."

Words and punctuation are NOT losing their meaning. They're losing their use. Also, people are losing their knowledge of their use.
The way you spelled words made it "Word is" and English is always capitalized when you're addressing the language. You also used loosing, like a loose belt, not lose, like you lose. Lose only has ONE 'O'.
And lastly, it's THEY'RE going over THERE with THEIR friends. They're=they are. There = place. Their = possessive.
