My mom once called me a son of a bitch and then got mad when I laughed. I'm still not sure if she completely missed it.

I'm not saying anything about you or your life or family, I'm just using the information given to make some points. You could be a bitch and the spoiled part just had a nice ring to it. Your other parent or other members of your family could be the ones spoiling you. Or you could be unappreciative and take everything for granted. Lastly, while a parent does have a lot of influence on their child, the child can still be influenced by other things causing them to be a total bitch even when their parents are lovely.

I think they can both be your fault. My parents offer me a lot, even to pay for my own college, but i deny it because I'd feel spoiled. Being spoiled is also a personal choice.

This. Also, a child/teenager can behave spoiled without actually being so - the parents could have raised the child well, but they still act entitled to things and have a fit when things don't go their own way. It's not always the parents fault.
