+327 Being and adult is overrated, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

For anyone that is excited about turning 18, nothing changes. At all.

You can buy cigarettes and pr0n? That's a change XD

Not in Alabama. You have to be 19 to buy cigarettes here.

Well that's good, they postpone your death I 'spose. I never thought being an adult was overrated though.. I guess that it is for the people who don't want to grow up?

Eh, I don't know. Nothing changes when you turn 18, people 20+ years older than you don't seem to treat you any different. Sure, you can vote now, and buy things you couldn't before, but people don't seem to take you any more seriously.

I still feel the same being 20 as I did when I was 18. Maybe it's because most 18 year olds are still in High School so they get treated that way. I was 17 when I graduated so I guess turning 18 wasn't a huge deal. (Maybe because I don't smoke or look at pr0n haha but I was still treated like an adult) idk I think all that matters is the maturity. A 15 year old could be very mature for their age whereas a 30 year old could still be very very immature. I know many like that.. Even though I'm 20 I wouldn't consider myself more mature than I was at 18 it's only two years haha. I still feel like I act the same way as when I was 16 sometimes. Something to think about.
