Not knowing the definition of ignorant=ignorant Not bothering to check the definitions of two different words=stupid Stupid =/= Ignorant.

Stupid means when somebody isn't itelligent enough to understand a concept. Ignorant people are people who are intelligent enough, but don't bother to even try to understand things before they argue with you about them. It's surprising to me how there are so many ignorant people in an age where you can google anything.

Stupid means 'lacking intelligence or common sense.' Ignorant means 'lacking knowledge in general; uneducated.' They CAN be the same thing. They can also be DIFFERENT things. Someone who never learned something can be stupid and ignorant. Someone who tried to learn it and didn't is stupid. Make sense?

yeah i would actually say the other way around. I don't mind ignorant because they simply don't know I do mind stupid because they havee no common sense. Basically, ignorance can be fixed simply by educating or informing someone with regards to whatever they don't know. Stupidity can't be fixed.

Ignorance isn't always so bad. I can say "I'm really ignorant about baseball." Because I don't know much about, and that doesn't make me stupid.

I kinda meant the ignorant as in "thinking one way and will never change their mind" ignorant.
