+513 Sometimes, we choose a book to read by not only reading the back of the book but also seeing how pretty or attractive it's cover is. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If I just want to read a book and not use my brains at all, I look for books with pink covers y

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hahah SAMEEE... this is why i started reading cecelia aherns novels cuz i found one of her covers really pretty...and surprisingly, novels with pretty covers are not that bad you know :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know :D that's how I found Jodi Picoult, although they're basically the opposite of what I was looking for... It just suck that, seeing as I don't live in an English-speaking country, they don't have an English romance novels section :D

oh well, that sucks... i tried reading one of jodi picoult's novel but her stories are just sad. Have you tried reading Sophie Kinsella's novels. i am like the biggest fan of her books. :) ... i am reading her shopaholic series right now. if you read any good books, feel free to recommend it to me...i love reading good books :).. thx for adding me as a friend btw

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah, read them all :) have you read dorothy koomson's books? they're awesome :) and also... hmm... have you read malorie blackman's noughts and crosses trilogy? or cassandra clare's mortal instruments series? and, of course, harry potter ♥

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh wow, you've read so many? well no but now since you've recommend it, i guess il give dorothy koomson's books a shot too. I like reading romantic, light-hearted novels alotttt and sometimes thriller but not alot...i havent really read the harry potter series except for the first book. im not really into those kinds. but i defo prefer harry potter way more than twilight...twilight sucks...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

HP just gets better as it goes along, trust me :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yea my friend says that as well. well ill try to read them too then. :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you definitely should :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Harry Potter is definitely the best thing since sliced bread!

MORTAL INSTRUMENTS IS FREAKING AWESOME!!! I love those books :) Jodi Picoult is really good too, and so is Sarah Dessen, and Rick Riordan (Percy Jackson Books and the new Red Pyramid book. Kind of books for younger readers, but then again, so is Harry Potter, and those books are amazing so...). Also the classics like Lord of the Flies and Pride and Prejudice and, oh, THE ILLIAD AND THE ODESSY rock. I don't actually like books like the Clique and Shopoholic and such, but I've read most of those kinds of books just for the heck of it, when I'm looking for an extremely light read without much thought. Usually those are the ones I read multiple times when i have nothing else to do. And, of course, I hate Twilight (but have read them all).

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha, sorry, I'm not even part of this conversation, but I saw the Mortal Instruments part and I was like OKAY I HAVE TO COMMENT!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Also (and I know I've written a bunch already) Manga is pretty good too, if you ever feel like trying it. But only if you pick the right kind, like Fruits Basket.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hahaha its allright, thx for your recommendations :) ... im not interested in manga at all..i prefer novels. i dont really like classics but i adore little women. i wana read pride and prejudice too. wow since you guys love mortal instruments i guess i have to give that a try now... thx :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You should!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I AGREE WITH ALMOST EVERYTHING YOU JUST SAID except for the manga part.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, most people would never try manga anyway...it was like an experiment of mine, and I ended up liking this one series (Fruits Basket) but like I said most manga is pretty bad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I tried it once, on work experience at the library, and it was just crazy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha it IS pretty hectic. Oh, and one more thing: besides the vampires in Mortal Instruments (which aren't (mostly) major characters anyway), I know that vampire books are usually overrated and not very good in the first place BUT there is one series that (if you haven't read it already) is pretty good: Blue Bloods. OH and read the Gemma Doyle Trilogy; its freakin' amazing!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hang on... gemma doyle... rings a bell...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

maybe this will help?: book one is A Great and Terrible Beauty, book two is Rebel Angels, book three is The Sweet Far Thing

by Anonymous 13 years ago

exactly! I've been meaning to read those for ages :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Read them as soon as possible! I loved them!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ok, I'm gonna search them at the library :D HURRAH FOR LIBRARY INTERNET SERVICES!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

YAAAAYYYY!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

WHAT THE FUCK they don't have the first part -.-.-.-.-.- I really hate not living in an English-speaking country sometimes

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yea i do agree... the only comic i really like is the betty and veronica series...but yea novels are way better than comics... man i didnt know there are so many book lovers on amirite. well its good to know :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago
