I think that yes, acting upon certain thoughts is wrong, but is it so wrong to have those thoughts? Trogdor is right, if you're argument is that it's biologically wrong, then so is homosexuality. I don't have any problems with homosexuals, but from te biological standpoint (people need to reproduce) there is a problem. Seriously don't get me wrong, I don't have ANY problems with homosexuals or anything like that, and people who act upon pedophiliac thoughts disgust me. But I think about weird stuff all of the time, so maybe you should throw me in jail.

There are studies going on that may prove pedophilia to be a sexual orientation. Of course I think it's wrong, but some people may have such feelings about children, and it's better to have those feelings than to actually go through with them.

You can't control your attractions, but you can control how you display them. Since having any intimate relationship with a minor is illegal (and just gross), you just can't...tell people about the feelings. Otherwise, no one can tap into your brain and then get you into trouble.

I kind of agree. I mean, a person can't help being attracted to children, and I feel kind of bad for them sometimes. As long as they don't do anything that causes harm, then I don't see what the big deal is.

It's pretty unfair that "pedophile" means "sex offender" to most people. People that are attracted to kids can't help it. If they don't act on it then we shouldn't assumed they're bad people.
