-150 It is stupid that girls have to do half the exercise guys do. Why? I've seen more girls excel in sports than guys. They should have to do the exact same amount. Guys have to get at least 11 minutes on the mile, so do girls. Guys have to do 30 push-ups, so do girls. Amirite?

Flame away.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Girl's don't have men muscle... some of them are just lucky to obtained them.. and attractive somewhat.. (Fuck i was gonna say "first")

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Agreed, its not fair when my swim teacher makes us take turns to do laps, Its girls first then boys, I don't see what it acomplished, its not like we are doing different strokes.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

(insertbrainhere):* but thats just swimming

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I stroked her? In terms of this imbalance, I think it's because, generally speaking, boys enjoy this kinda stuff more than girls. So this way it's "fairer", for the majority. You've got a point, you should just bring it up to your PE teacher or whatever, get it sorted out.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Tried, lol, oh well.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Girls have to do... the flexibility crap better? >_____> Pushups, we have less muscle, but I can do 35 in sort of proper form.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

They're weaker...less muscles or something, right? I agree with you, but it's for a reason I guess. Even though a lot of the girls do excel more so than boys.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Well I don't really know about the weaker thing, but I was thinking maybe our body just requires less working out to be in good shape. Though guys develop muscle easier, not being toned doesn't mean that you're not in shape. Does that make any sense? After a certain point at night I'm not sure if I only make sense to myself.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Women's bodies tends to gain weight easier and lose it at slower rate than men. When a woman looses weight it is usually from undesired places like breasts or buttocks, maybe that is why the exercise is not as intense.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, because my female PE teacher cares about whether I keep my boobs and/or my butt.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think I get what youre trying to say, but its poorly worded so Im neutral o this one

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's fair. It's not about doing flat out equal work. It's about equal work in relation to physical ability. Genetically/scientifically speaking: Guys are stronger and better athletes than Girls are.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

THAT'S SEXIST AND YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A GIRLFRIEND AND EVERYONE HATES YOU! Haha I'm surprised someone didn't beat me to that. But I actually agree with you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Sports" and "freshmen P.E." are not synonymous.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They want equal treatment, but not with sports or workhours. They do want the same marks as boys/men and the same pay.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

A healthy girl is physically unable to do as many pushups as a healthy boy. Like some people said before, it's not about doing the exact same amount, it's about the same amount of exertion. And the workhours thing is complete bullshit. That has nothing to do with the post, nor is it true for most women.

You try running and 11 minute mile with blood pouring out from down under and cramps like you're getting hit with an axe. It's not that easy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

running an 11 minute mile isnt that hard, actually. a lot of guys could do about 2 miles in that time, so I don't think it's that bad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

AHAHAHAH. I suck at running and I can easily do a mile in under 11 minutes. Also, I run when I'm on my period. It's not that bad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You act like girls have their periods every second of their lives..which is clearly not the case. (Not trying to say that whole cycle isn't a pain or annoying for you guys, as i have no doubt that i would hate having to deal with it)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've run a mile in 9 minutes, and at that time I was one of the last girls in my fitness class to finish. What you're saying is completely unreasonable.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exercising while on your period can actually help reduce cramps. Yes it's harder, but putting forth the effort can actually help in the long run.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I run a 9 minute mile. And I'm a twelve year old girl. U jelly?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

an 11 minute mile!? seriously? thats no problem for this girl. 11 minutes is actually really slow in my book....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Seriously! At our school, we need to make it in less than 8 to get an A...And that's the same for girls and guys.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, I usually get an 7 to 9 minute mile. I'm by no means athletic, but even I can get it in under 11 minutes. Actually, I could probably WALK an 11 minute mile.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

At my school we just did the mile. The girls had to get less than 11 miles, while the guys had to get less than 9.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ELEVEN MILES? That's absurd!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's obviously a typo, it's supposed to say "minutes" not "miles", that makes much more sense.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

'Twas a joke, my friend.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

TO become an elite level basketball official, girls have to run a beep test for 66 laps in 10 minutes, while guys have to run 88. I understand that guys are physically built to have greater endurance etc, TYPICALLY, however girls do not have to run less than men to referee a basketball game. If girls are qualified to referee a game at 66 laps, why are men not qualified? It's to do the exact same job.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In my gym class the girls have an extra minute to run their mile to get an A.... teehee. So I got a A with my 9:06 and they got B's. It was pretty awesome.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, it's pretty sweet to not have to do the crap that the guys have to do, and then get better grades than them~

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're complaining about an 11 minute mile?! Seriously?! I go to an all girl school, and to get 100 on the mile run it had to be under 7 minutes. I ended up with an 80 and ran the mile in 8.32.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sorry people, but I'm LOLing at you actually getting graded on how fast your mile is. As long as we're dressed out and we get it done, we get full credit. /lenientcrappyathleticprogram

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Er... We have to do all the same things guys have to do at my school XD And we only get six minutes to do the mile. Be happy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wait... some of you get grades based on physical performance? at my school, we're only graded on being prepared and participating.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't get this... for rugby training, we do exactly the same training as the boys... there's no special treatment, just the opposite. Our team gets treated like we don't matter, and the boys get everything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Girls got the jiggle factor slowing them down that's why.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

6 minutes? Come on, we aren't that stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

At my school the girls do more work than the guys. We run with weights while they run without, the like.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Seriously? An 11 minute mile? I could probably get around a 7 minute mile if I ran as hard as I could.

by Anonymous 12 years ago
