+544 when girls gush about twilight and how much they luv it, they get death stares and made fun of. but its not lame or pathedic at ALL to stand outside a theater for hours in a cape, glasses, a lightening tatoo on your head (real by the way), and a wand waiting to see the 7th harrypotter movie, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no, it's not.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

cuz harry potters GOOD.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

but thats a matter of opinion. and thats such a bitch that if you were to make fun of a hp fan then you were a jerk and you got the whole," let people like whtever they want to " speech (not saying i make fun of any1) but if a twifan gets made fun of then every1 joins in. its not even about whats better, its about lettin ppl do whtever. hitler thought blondes were good and jews sucked.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

blond(e)s with blue eyes. He was very specific.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

It was actually the Aryan race which were people from north India whith blonde hair, blue eyes and tan skin.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The popular opinion is that HP is better. Twilight people make fun of HP people too. Its just that less people like Twilight as opposed to HP, so Twilight people are made fun of more.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

actually alot of twifans are also hp fans. alot of twifans never hate on HP mostly because there is no reason to compare the two books.they have nothing to do with each other. and alot of the ppl that are team hp are only so because they saw the first movie at like 11, and there pissed cause their gf dragged them to go see new moon.trust me.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Axctually some of them ask how we hate Twilight and why. They don't understand how we can hate it. I would think it's a ch--"female" novel and us guys can argue however we want, but the girls should know we hate it because it is a feminine book and it has alot of errors in portraying mythical creatures. Vampires don't sparkle, wolves can't "mystically" turn into a wolf whenever they want, and vampires can't help but kill their victims. Plus they combust in the sun.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

That's what made her such a good writer. She made stuff up about vampires and werewolves. She created her own world for her book.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

HA! You think we hated it only after the MOVIE came out? We hated it when the book became a bestseller. That type of book SHOULDN'T be a bestseller.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

never said anything bout the movie. wtf?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

And because they ACTUALLY believe Edward is a vampire. He's a friggen FAERIE.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

300000000000 bucks Anonymous is a twihard?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

@35142 (Carson): 300 Billion dollars?!?! I will take it. But I would guess she/he is partially a HP fan.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

hahaa......i was just kidding.....u no that rite......*steals Your_Faces money and runs away*

by Anonymous 14 years ago

HAHA! You took the FAKE money! Secretly, I crossed my virtual fingers!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Wait...you stole fake money from my face?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

damn i need to get better at this

by Anonymous 14 years ago

@35142 (Carson): i actually hate twilight.and i'm a girl, and i think its way to mushy and romantic. but my friends are twifans a i'm gonna beat the shit outa the next person that makes them cry just cause they think there cooler for liking hp. thats bull.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Now THAT makes HP look bad, and I'm (when I'm all muscualar and have my eight-packity goodness) will beat the shit out of THEM, because you never make people cry. You make them feel disappointed, but making them cry is stupid. And, oh, your SO much better for liking a different fictional character than them. Wow. The only reason I hate Twilight (mind if I've stated this multiple times before) is that it has false portrayal of mythical creatures, and it isn't well written. When a reader can spot errors right of the bat, they don't have to think about it, it is poorly written.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

thank you. people should just let people do whatever. and the 'false portrayal of mythical creatures' was on perpose.and even though i hated twilight i kinda have respect for SM cause if you have that many people on broad for somthing like that, you must have done somthing right. and you know there are people that consider HP poorly written.i myself could not get throughHP either and just barley make it through twilight books.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Harry Potter, in the beginning, rambles on about crap no one cares about. XD I myself can't get through harry potter, but it has so many adjectives and rarely any spelling mistakes.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

maybe its not the quality that matters. idk. theres just somthing about the books that kinda pulls even me in.i hate twilight but i'd prob read it again somtime. its weird.a little scary.help...me.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I can't read Twilight. In the movie, a scene that takes 3 minutes takes about 13 pages to write in the most boring adjectives possible.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

totally. it kills me.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

"The quality doesn't matter"? What!?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

um hello? like a million 11 year old are still waiting for some white owl to bring them a letter to a magical land of wizards and werwolves.plenty of people probubly think harry and the rest of the gang (that hasent already been axed) are hiding somewhere the muggles can't find them.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

WTF? Hell no. We are not that stupid. Nobody believes that except for those idiotic MLIAers. Who post fake posts. Nobody believes that, everybody knows it's just a book. Stop saying that 11 year olds are waiting for the friggen owl, and actually get a little educated about HP fans before you come and make the actual SMART die-hard twifans look bad. A million 11 year olds are NOT waiting for the owls, and you are making yourself look like a stereotypical ass. Think before you post, don't over exaggerate, don't use stereotypes to turn into "fact", and I won't flame you. OK? Good. Come back tomorrow. Under an actual screen name. Not "Anonymous".

by Anonymous 14 years ago

well as a person that is young enough to hang around 11 year olds, i think i would know and yes the 1s that read the books make jokes about that alot.they wish that could happen to them. and who knows what kinda people are out there.you just automatically believe that every girl with a twilight book dreams of edward climbing through their window.when really, like know one thinks that, at all. how come other people get to be asses when it come to twilight fans but not HP fans? and as retarded as those mliaers are, HP fans can be just a crazy as people THINK twilight fans are.and i'll be anonymous if i want to cause its my right.do NOT get smart with me.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I never said they thought that. People are asses when it comes to HP fans. How the hell did I get smart with you? Learn that expression. And you are never "young" enough to hang with 11 year olds. When I was 10, I hung out with 5 year old kids, 8 year old kids, and even some 11 year old kids. There is no age to hang out with 11 year olds. And they are JOKING. Joking is when they are just messing around. And, let them WISH it could happen to them. 13 year old girls WISH that they could meet Jacob and Edward. I don't generalize that. But there are multiple girls who do want Edward (book Edward, not movie Edward) to climb through their window. I know at least 30 girls who have read Twilight and are still sane. I said that I hate Twilight. Sue me for believing some girls take Twilight too far.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Seriously. Get over this whole debate. And learn how to spell.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

your right. i'm bored with arguing with you your-face. lets just ahgree that no matter what side your on, there are asses.and who else thinks that chocolate jello just is nawt right. i mean its pretty good, but not right ya know?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

From your grammar, I'm guessing your one of the people gushing over twilight...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

high five

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was going to say something like this, but I didn't want to look like a bitch. Not that you do.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

HP has an admirable plot. There's meaning to it. I read the Twilight series. It has no meaning, other than you should ditch your entire family and life for a boy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

really, the most pathetic thing of all is the spelling of the word "Pathedic" in the op...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not pathedic. It might be a little *pathetic* to dress up, but not as much as it is to hope that a sparkly vampire will one day stalk you and watch you sleep...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha too true! I'm a HUUUUGE HP fan, but I don't sit by my window and wait for my Hogwarts letter, or hope some evil wizard gives me a lightning-shaped scar. A lot of huge Twilight fans buy Twilight-everything, and wait for their "Edward".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

To the person who said that people have made your friends cry because of their liking of twilight: that appears to be your friends fault. I'm a huge HP fan and I've had plenty of people say things to me about the series an had people make fun of me for liking them and never once has my reaction been to cry. The thought has never crossed my mind to cry over someone elses opinion of something I like. Your friends must be emotional wrecks waiting to happen. And comapritively from as neutral of a standpoint as I can give, the Harry Potter books (ESP. Books 3-7) are better written. They have far more plot and character development as compared to the twilight series. Plus the HP characters are so much more like real people that readers can actually relate to instead of fantasizing about. And no, I'm not talking about the magic aspect.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

HURR DURR I'MA COOL HARRY POTTER FAN DERPPP. TWILIGHT SUX GUIES!11!1 WIZARDS ARE REAL! R U A WIZARD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@35125 (Anonymous): Let's not Bring Hitler into this...and Twilight was a good book, BUT Harry Potter makes amazing books AND movies. And yeah it is lame to get an actual tattoo of lightning on you forehead (and it isn't common you probably got that from one person)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, that sounds deranged and fucking creepy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay people, someone, (i guess myself) needs to point out that the only reason people make fun of Hp or Twilight is because one had a lot of popularity, then the other one did. People assume anyone who has read one or the other are automatically super-fans who have mental issues, but a majority of readers are just that: readers. Also, twilight got A LOT of news coverage. That made people more annoyed. While irksome, it is no reason to make someone cry (related to above comment). FURTHERMORE, how dare someone attack someone else for liking a book? Literature has good and bad, but most people have been judging others without actually reading them. That's not right. I have read both, and find that Ii like Hp better, but Twilight wasn't nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be, (although the ending of Breaking Dawn, i really hated that.) SO, in conclusion (since I'm running out of characters to fit) people shouldn't judge others or hurt other people's feelings. And extremists are wierd

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ha i used the exact amount of character there^ lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like this post but idk if I should vote it up or down because it's like stating two things. I agree That twi- hards are just as bad as Harry Potter fanatics... Do I vote yeah you are or no way?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Jeez, stop arguing people. Sure Twilight may be overrated, but I don't think it's something to be angry about unless it effects you personally. Just move on.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hope someone already said this, but I had to say it myself: your spelling in this post was appalling. =[]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Y'all are all idiots. They're just fricking books. Why does there have to be a comparison? Well, because HP fans just want to feel superior. They're not. It's not like they WROTE the book. *facepalm* ugh. People are annoying. Now, if you tell me you read the dictionary for entertainment...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You realize that only very few HP fans feel like that, and those are the ones that feel like that about EVERYTHING. Ping pong, baking, grades, just very egotistical competitive people. There are twihards like that too, you know.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Why does there have to be a comparison? Well, because HP fans just want to feel superior." Nope. It was the twillight fans that started to compare them and then the hp fans reacted to it. That's how the whole flame war started.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(No Way): Exactly. Twilight fans got carried away when their book got a little more popular, and then got a big head by saying, "Why, our books are better and more popular than Harry Potter". And then my people (HP Fans) got a little defensive and were insulted that Twilight could be expected to even TOUCH Harry Potter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Um... I really love both the HP and Twilight books and I think it's annoying that people compare them cause they're nothing alike.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok...Your spelling was atrocious. As was your grammar. Also, I was reading above, and the Twihards make fun of HP fans like myself. Like you said, "A million 11 year olds are waiting for a white owl to send them a letter for Hogwarts." Duh, that would never happen. It'd most likely be brown. Mine was. But I personally know a guy that put on sparkly body glitter for a laugh and got chased down the street by a crying girl. I have a scar on my forehead, (I got it before Harry Potter) AND I used to wear glasses, but no one ever chased me around. And also, JK Rowling is very good author. Stephanie Meyer pulled a Mary Shelly and wrote about a dream of hers. Also, Harry Potter has a long, interesting plot. It keeps readers intrigued, with action, romance, and friendship and tragedy. Twilight, however, has Bella and Edward being dramatic and JAcob crying in a corner. (Yes, I HAVE read it, to see what everyone was fussing about. I haven't found out yet.)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What's "pathedic" is your spelling. Learn English before you post stupid things.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hope you weren't being sarcastic. Because it IS cool to do that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay, the REAL lightening bolt tattoo on your forehead worries me that you moved from loving the books/movies to being OBBESSED. If you came to me to do that tattoo(Training as a tattoo artist) then you would have to pay me extra to do that shit. And alot! Or go to a tattoo artist that doesn't care that a tattoo on your face can ruin so much of your life.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Everything about the plot of Twilight sends messages that powerful women have worked for years to disprove. So yeah. It sucks. I can't find anything like that in HP so I'll give its fans the free pass to geek out.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've said it before, and I will sai it again: the kind of Twihards that most HP fans are the ones that are 'in wuv' with Edward or Jacob, or who like the books only because 'Eddwardzzz HAWT!!11!1!1!!1' However, most of us have no problem with the ones who are able to intelligently argue their point. And also, you rarely see HP fans who like the books only because, say, Draco's hot. (which he is... but that's another story.) Seriously. Give me an intelligent Twihard and I promise I won't make her/him cry.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not Twilight I hate. It's the fans that are scary preteens that will kill you if you say anything that isn't about how awesome Twilight is. And when there's 20 of those in every room it makes you hate them that much more. It's really a vicous cycle.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not all of them are like that. My friend loves Twilight, and I can't stand it, and we still get along fine. She just doesn't bring up Twilight and I don't bring up HP and everything's cool.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol at all the serious discussion. +1 for Harry Potter!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

10 points for Gryffindor!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... you spelt pathetic wrong... just saying

by Anonymous 13 years ago

let fans be fans, people but all of these comments from hp fans kinda make us look like douchebags. at least in my eyes :P probably because every other post is scrutinizing the op's grammar.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Let's just agree that there see extremists on both sides of the fandom. Honestly I don't even know how the whole twilight vs harry potter thing got started they are COMPLETELY different books about completely different things. Can't we all agree that there are fans of BOTH that take it too far and fans of BOTH that don't?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I HATE YOUR GRAMMAR

by Anonymous 13 years ago

GOOD GOD! LEARN HOW TO SPELL!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like Harry Potter and Twilight and I make fun of both of those people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's totally normal to get your teeth sharpened to look like fangs and bleach your skin till it's vampire pale.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well... yes. And anyone who says "luv" is automatically the type of girl who needs to be made fun of a little. ESPECIALLY if she's a twihard.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Of course it's not! :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

By the way, you spelled pathetic wrong. And tattoo. Thought you ought to know! *faints*

by Anonymous 13 years ago
