Seriously. For instance, if you actually read the First Amendment and the Separation of Church and State Clause, you'd know that the Constitution isn't banning the topic of religion from discussion in public schools, it's banning the government from favoring or forcing one religion over another. People cite the First and Second amendments all the time, without ever knowing what they actually say, and that bothers me. Personally, I haven't read the Bible yet (though it is high on my priorities- I'm tired of being ignorant) but I don't go around quoting it like I do, and manipulating it to serve my needs. That pisses me off.

Well... Yeah. Sorry, it seemed like the guy I was replying to was a troll so I didn't really bother with being super correct or anything. More of what I was trying to say I guess is that while freedom of speech gives you the right to be a jerk, it in no way, shape, or form means that being a jerk is a good thing and something to be proud of.

And it also doesn't take away my right to tell them that they're a thick-headed asshole -- freedom of speech is a two way street. As long as you aren't threatening others' safety, that is.
