Some of what we normally define as the middle east is also in Europe and Africa (as far as i remember), but I'm not sure how strict the definition "the middle east" is.

It's because a lot of people simply refer to them as the Middle East or Arabian countries.

im studying tourism and yes india is in asia, and yes majority of the middle east is in asia. Im turkish and everyone says im 'wog' but really im asian :)

<----He's right. In the UK, Asian is mostly referring to Indians and the Middle East. In NA, Asian is mostly referring to EA/SEA. You can google it too...

Egypt is mostly North African, but wikipedia says it's 'transcontinental' because it's an entrance way between Africa and West Asia.
