It doesn't matter... I mean, it does, but kids know what's going on.

No, I was just saying. People shouldn't try to fool their kids into thinking there's nothing wrong because generally, the kid(s) know what's going on anyways. Sorry, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out when two people are fighting with each other.

my parents fought a lot before they got divorced, and in my situation it was worse when they hid it because my brother and i knew they were fighting but had no idea why

I went through the exact same thing and it sucked because my dad would be like "you, go to your room" and he'd tell my brother to go outside or something, and we could hear them fighting. But the way I look at it is, my parents fought and it didn't turn me into a fuck up, thus meaning I see no problem with it. hahaha

yeah, i guess it just depends on how each individual handles it =] I still think it's just better to be open and honest with your kids though

There's never a time that my parents DON'T fight in front of me. They don't want to create an illuson that everything's always all right with mommy and daddy.

Parents shouldn't fight. Of course I know that sometimes it can't be helped, but if they fight that much they should go to a counsler or something, maybe even get a divorce if they can't work out their problems. I think it would have been way better if my parents had gotten divorced sooner rather than constanty yell at each other in front of us. That's jus not something kids should have to see.
