+386 In the 1960's America had Reagan, Bob Hope, and Johnny Cash. Now we have Obama, No Hope, and No Cash, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Guess who started the Modern trend of defecit spending: Ronald Reagan! :0

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's just a joke lets not get technical..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Are you kidding me? His trickle down policy made our economy THRIVE. Yeah, he made some mistakes, but everyone does. And we do need some sort of balance. We can't be a COMPLETE power. We should be powerful, but not a complete world dictator.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Guess who's doing nothing for our country? Obama.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You need to be consistent when spearing your propaganda. One day he's not doing anything, the next you say he's destroying the country. One day he's a communist, the next he's a Nazi (those two ideaologies are almost opposite on the political spectrum. And no matter how hard you repeat bullshit talking points without facts to back it up, history is going to remember Obama as the president who kickstarted the long process of cleaning up George Bushes mess and bringing America into the 21st century.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

George Bush did make a bit of a mess, but so did Clinton. People keep blaming Bush, when he's not the only one at fault.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, and Obama tripled George Bush's mess. usdebtclock.org

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I saw that! It's ridiculous. And think, people are still getting welfare. I'm totally against welfare, but even more so when people with one child need it, but keep their legs open, ask for MORE welfare, and get it. People who need government support shouldn't have anymore kids.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*spreading; I'm typing on an itouch

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm just 14 people let's not get technical shall we?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

if you are just 14 and dont want to get technical you shouldn't be making a post like that

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Go boss ur grandmother..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

At least my grandmother knows what shes talking about

by Anonymous 13 years ago

seriously? i'm 15 and i knew that. own up to what you posted.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Geez, don't be so hard on her, she made a simple mistake, big deal.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i'm sorry, but she was being ignorant. it's frustrating when people push their agendas forward and then they don't even know what they're saying. it's not so much that she didn't know when reagan was president, but it's that she tried to speak with authority on the subject, and then when she was wrong, she pretended like it was irrelevant. it wasn't irrelevant.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

K k k so I made a mistake..geez..Well @ least reagan was alive..who said anything about him being a president..xD Lol.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

thanks hun

by Anonymous 13 years ago

After Obama became president my family lost jobs and I really don't see any hope so "Yeah you are" right.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Um, Obama has nothing to do with your parents loss of jobs. If McCain was elected, they still would have lost their jobs

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You can't say that...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They just did. And they're right.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe McCain would have come up with a different, better policy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

McCain pretty much said he loves bush and would continue to do things the way bush was doing them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

/Pretty much/. But no one ever lives up to their word. The unemployment rate is still super high, even though Obama said he was going to lower it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Obama will be in my city tomorrow creating jobs for thousands, dont believe everything you see on TV

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So I shouldn't believe that the unemployment rate he vowed to lower has gone up?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So Obama personally went to your parents' work and fired them? While we're at it, how about I blame Obama on the death of my uncle, shall we?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What about... Obama PERSONALLY fucked up the country that DIRECTLY affected the situation...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

YEP OBAMA FIRED ME AND MY FAMILY

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hope you just stated that we have Obama for president as a fact, rather than blaming him for those two things.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yay, im the first to comment noting tht u stole this from status shuffle on facebook

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I did not!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

u copied a friend who saw it on status shuffle

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Nope I actually read it on a news article on wnd

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LIAAAAAR!!!!!!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Look at the oil spill. If Bush had been President, he would've been chewed up, spit out, roasted, and then have his ashes stomped on. People just won't do that because Obama's black and they don't want to be "racist" and too scared to say something because basically everyone in the media is a Democrat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

honestly, obama's taking a lot of heat for how he's dealing with the oil spill, especially from his own party. if you watch msnbc, the news station that leans far left (basically fox news' opposite), you can see people criticizing him all over the place. the media will criticize anyone they can get their hands on.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Obama was one of the first dudes down at the gulf when that shit went down tryiong to figure things out. He is one man and just cus he is the president doesnt mean he has magical powers. How about you go down there and do something about it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There was one lady in New York who is classified as a genius, she's 18 and she's already a professor. When she offered her idea, which was to take a pipe and put a whole bunch of rubber tires around it put it inside the leaking pipe and inflate the tires to create a seal, they completely ignored her and didn't pay any attention to her.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

a lot of people are being ignored, but do you think thats obamas fault? They also rejected the fact that there are microbes that they can put into the water that will eat the oil and produce waste that can be consumed by sea life

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In the 60's we also had vietnam, JFK's assassination, flawed civil rights, racism, Martin Luther King's assassination, the cuban missile crisis, the cold war, the six days war, creation of the berlin wall, malcolm x's assassination, Robert Kennedy's assassination, Cuyahoga River Fire, and the formation of multiple factions of the IRA. By the way being 14 is no excuse for being ignorant. I'm only 16 just so you know.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You are 16 and also failed to relay the correct information. Try again next time.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Now I'm no history professor here, but I'm pretty sure John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson were presidents in the 1960's, and Ronald Reagan came along in the 80s with his bullcrap conservative agenda.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yes he was president in the 80s but he was a great president. It's because of him that my parents were able to escape an oppressive government. So don't call his agenda bullcrap.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

agreed

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I did just call his agenda bullcrap, and I stand by that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay what do people expect obama to do put on his superman outfit and swoop up all the oil. When he goes down there all he does is get in peoples way bacause he needs the secret service and other people there to make sure no one tries to shoot him. He does stuff behind the scenes like trying to fund something that will actually clean up the oil

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I love how ignorant people are. That's a lie. People should get an education before even thinking about making incorrect comments (just saying).

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I find it amusing that people that decry welfare, public medicine and "socialism" in general are the people who are all well off. You don't see some bum, or an intercity single parent saying that welfare is pointless, and that obama's ruining them. It's the people that don't need it that whine about it. Greedy little fucks can't share money, can they? And on a side note, Mr. Obama has only been in office for 2 years. He can't fix every problem in the world in an instant. Or even in one term. But what he can do is provide the foundations for his successors to work with, to fix what is broken in this country. Give him a chance. It's not as if you're doing much to help, the least you could do is not insult him.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You are so right, a lot of people dont like obama because they are greedy bastards

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Reagan became president in 1980... and caused the economy to fail with his "Reaganomics" and only worked 7 hours a day.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ronald@206151 (mirfish3): He also started to get dementia and would fall asleep during cabinet meetings.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My mom is a single mother who works her ass off so we can have good lives, so stop running your mouth about how conservatives are "greedy bastards". Hard work is why I go to a good school and live in a good home.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

dude. ronald reagan was president in the 80s. not the 60s.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well he was still alive in the 60 wasnt he???

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't understand why everyone blames Bush for everything. I understand he made mistakes, but people generalize all Republicans as basically "Bush." And like someone else said, what about Clinton? Regardless of president, the American, or any country's for that matter, is going to tank down ONCE IN A WHILE; it is apart of the economic cycle. If we were a 'perfect' country, then we wouldn't be very developed and strong due to our past mistakes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

IF ANYONE ELSE COMMENTS ON THE DATE BEING WRONG I AM GOING TO SCREAM!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so most of you are teenagers and you probly only believe what your PARENTS believe, you know, you can be free thinking. You are not going to be living with them forever, you are not going to be covered by their insurance forever. When you go to college and whatnot, you will probly be poor for a while. Unless you are a full time student, you will not have health insurance...which is all fine until you break your arm or get sick...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Heck I'm probably the one that disagrees w/ my parents the most!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Did the thought ever cross your mind that people are poor BECAUSE they want to have the government support them and others are rich BECAUSE they work hard to earn a living apart from the government's "support"? It's not that people want the government to supply their every need because they are poor, they are poor because they want the government to supply their needs. There are lots of poor Conservatives, the only thing is they don't stay that way for long.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ditto to that bro!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i could not agree more....thank you for having common sense!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that's my twinsey for ya! ;)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not everyone is poor because they are lazy and fishing for government support, and its ignorant as fuck to think that way. What I was saying was that when you are paying out the ass for college and living on your own you are not gonna be able to afford shit. Some single mothers do work hard and still ACTUALLY NEED HELP. Grow the fuck up

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I believe YOU are the one who needs to grow up, if you believe I meant EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. Yes there are exceptions, but if we start handing out cash to them then they won't even TRY to get out of their current situation. Medical aid for single mothers and sick people might be a good idea depending on the situation, but we can't just hand out money to people. Almost every rich person in history (besides those who inherited wealth and famous people, authors, movie stars, etc.) started out poor and WORKED their way to fortune. Imagine if Andrew Carnegie's family had received benefits from the government when he was 13 and worked 12 hours a day, 6 days a week for $1.25, or Steve Jobs after he dropped out of college. Our society could very well still be stuck in the coal age, and you CERTAINLY wouldn't have your iPhones and "perfect" Macs, because neither one would have made an attempt to BE somebody. But now I'm out of room to write...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

way to go twinsey!! *high fives*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The Mac comment was a joke, by the way. :-)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol + it was funnae too xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I dont use an Iphone/smartphone or a fancy fucking mac, I have my own brain and I dont need technology to ROT it away. I spend a lot more time in nature than most people my age, I probably spend more time reading than most people my age, and I think about a lot more things than people my age.People need to learn how to think for themselves. We are basically fucked because of the RICH bankers on high street, money doesnt even have value these days. ITS JUST A FUCKING PIECE OF PAPER, its not even backed up my gold anymore. Also, yes I did assume you meant everybody but it was the way you made that statement-it was sort of absolutist

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hate you a lot less suddenly. The Mac comment, was, as I said, a joke, I have no idea whether you have one or not. I don't, or any Apple product. I also believe that we should NEVER have left the gold standard of money, and that there certainly ARE a lot of bankers who try to screw us, and that the government shouldn't have bailed THEM out either. Also, my favorite place in the world (besides wherever my friends are, of course) is outside. Walking barefoot in the woods is THE BEST, at least until the poison ivy comes out. See? We can at least agree on SOME things!! :-)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

agreed even tho ur not talking 2 me.. Now message me back, Weasey..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm sorry, I just got on. Got about a dozen events to look at, sorry sis. :-)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

its okay i'll let u keep ur neck this time, bro ;)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah lol i saw the mac joke thing after I posted ze comment. Yepp poison ivy indeed sucks, yet nature is wonderful. Im done with the back and fourth-ness, its funny how easy it is to get worked up about something with someone you dont even know. It sure kills some time though when you're bored, and works out ze brain maybe lol xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago
