if going to school wasn't a law, you wouldn't go. amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
You are a prime example of why it is the law.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Sorry, I'd rather school now than work at Walmart later.
by Anonymous13 years ago
are you freckin serious, or are you just trolling?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'd still go, but maybe not everyday
by Anonymous13 years ago
yayare see cuz i never went 2 schelw and i terned owt to bee the presdent
by Anonymous13 years ago
In college, it's not always required to go to class. I'd say most people go anyway.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Complaining about school just makes it worse. It's seriously not even bad.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I doubt you'd even have many friends if it wasn't for school. :/
by Anonymous13 years ago
Not as many self-rightious comments as I expected
by Anonymous13 years ago
I can't vote yes or no. I'd go, but maybe not all the time.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Not requiring school would actually make me want to go more because then it would be just learning for the sake of learning, not learning because the law says I have to. I would have more intrinsic motivation to go to school, which is a much more powerful motivator than the extrinsic motivation that is currently placed on the education system, which is "I need to go to school because it's the law."
by Anonymous13 years ago
I also reckon it would be better, as there would be less distractions by other kids who obviously don't want to be there, are only there because their parents made them, and would rather be at home playing X Box or something.
And, everyone is probably thinking how cool it would be to never have to go to school, but if there wasn't a law about attending school, there would probably be a law about children having to work.
And if there weren't, you'd get sick of too much free time, and by the time you realised it probably would have been better to get an education so you could get a decent job, it would be too late.

i'd go until like 8th grade, after that it becomes pointless
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh wow, I don't think your in university yet. Grades 11-12 are the most important things you'll ever need to know.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Hmmm ... I guess maybe in an alternative universe type world, where your main goal wasn't to get into college or get a good job, then up to 8th grade would provide you with the basic skills to read, write, analysize, add, subtract, work out other things, etc.
by Anonymous13 years ago
does that mean you're not going to college? because going to college isn't required by law.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I would still go so I can actually have a life, but I would skip a few days here and there.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It would depend a lot on the type of parents you have.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'd say yes, only if it wasn't absolutely necessary to succeed in today's society.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'd go... except for algebra two. I have yet to think of a time in my life when I'll need to know how to divide fractions where the denominator is a fraction in a fraction in a fraction in a fraction, with letters thrown in or logarithms (even though those are kinda fun).

The career I'm looking at demands a good education. Namely, school.
