+426 Girl Scout cookies should be sold in stores, not by little girls whose only intent is to earn a badge. They would make way more money, but no, they have to teach 'leadership skills'. Amirite?

We get more than a badge. We get money for our troop to do fun things, and we get prizes.

Whoop-de-doo. You would earn far more $$ if the cookies were sold in stores, year-round.

Man I love those Samoa cookies.

It's like Pepsi only being sold in August and you can only buy it from that kid that you just know is gonna snap and kill everyone

It's a rewards system. The more we as a troop sell, the more we as a troop get. Capatalism my friends.

That's why you stock up on them when you have the chance.

The badges we get for cookie sales are useless, and don't add up to anything. We use the money to take trips and fund our volunteer projects. Sorry if we wanted to have money to volunteer to the community!

Those cookies are actually sold in stores all year long. Girl Scouts work with a cookie company that just put the cookies in different packaging... do some research on which "Girl Scout" cookie you want and what the normal cookie name is for it :D

Ohmygod thank you for telling me! Thin mints are to me like crack is to a drug addict.

I'm a 8year girl scout and while I don't agree with them being sold in stores under the name "Girl Scout Cookies" I personally can't stand selling them. There are other ways to teach leadership... like HELLO, feeding the homeless. O_o

Or, you know, anything where you're actually leading a group. Doesn't really matter the activity.
