+520 It's funny how when someone says they're color blind, people automatically ask them to identify colors when they can easily be making up the wrong colors on purpose, amirite?

It doesn't work like that.

my brother is color blind but only mildly. he has to have those red-green color blind tests with the same shade of red and green to not be able to tell the difference between the colors

I've always wondered how they "know" they're color blind...like when they're kids, if their mom or whoever is telling the kid that this color is blue, that kid is going to say blue always, even though they might see it differently than everyone else. If that makes any sense at all.

Most people who are colorblind can't distinguish between red and green. I haven't really heard of anyone who sees in black and white.

The post had nothing to do with seeing black and white, its like if someone says theyre color blind people will automatically go "oh whats this color?" and point to like prove it, when the person can easily just be picking some random color.

THIS HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME! it seems the only good i thing i get out of being colorblind is getting out of labs and map work in school. (though sometimes the teacher doesnt know that i can actually see the difference, but i dont fight cuz i get an automatic A)
