Isn't it better than when people act their own age, and are immature and annoying, and don't use proper spelling, grammar, or punctuation? Well, that's if by older you mean more mature, and more like an adult, as opposed to the 12 year olds that dress like sluts and cover themselves in make-up.

Ok O.P, you need to get a life. YOU'RE 13. You do not need a boyfriend to survive. I am 15, never had a boyfriend and I'm perfectly happy with my friends and my best friend. If you're that un-secure maybe you don't have good friends that keep you happy, and you need to surround yourself with better people. Trust me. I was kinda like you a couple of years ago, but I figured out that it was because I didn't have good friends and they didn't make me happy. But now I have amazing friends and a phenomenal best friend, and life is good. So chill

Lay off the poor kid. I don't think 13 year olds should be in relationships either, but I mean seriously...give her a break. She just hasn't matured to the point that the rest of us have. Nobody NEEDS a boyfriend, especially not to be complete or happy, but that's not really the point, especially if you're young (13, 16, under 20 I guess). How are you going to know if someone's the "right guy" if you haven't had any experience with any guys at all? You don't have to marry the first boyfriend you have, the first couple of boyfriends are kind of just for practice... To try going out with different types of guys, until you find what type is really right for you, and to establish what kind of relationship you want, and to have fun. Although if you don't want a boyfriend, that's your choice.

If you feel that your previous boyfriend and you should never have gone out, don't count it... :) I'm not counting two "relationships" I had, both lasted about one day, so I see no reason to count them. Also, you don't put apostrophes into plurals. Where you said "guy's", it should say "guys". :)

I had a boyfriend when I was 13. Well, I still am 13... What is it with people who seem to think that just because we're young we can't have lives, and can't have proper relationships? As long as you're smart enough not to have sex or do anything similarly stupid until you're a lot older, I don't see what's wrong with 13 year olds having boyfriends/girlfriends. It's not like anyone has to marry the first person they go out with. Also, sometimes it takes a bad relationship to show them that boys really aren't worth it, until then they'll just wish they had a boyfriend. Once they get one and realize that it's not really that great, they'll be more ready to accept that they do have the rest of their lives to try out dating, and that they don't need to find the perfect boy now.
