+774 For those who read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince: the fire in the movie, at the Weasley's house is the biggest piece of bull shit ever. Amirite?

Yeah I was so mad about that!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Me too!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hallelujah!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that was so random!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's been about a year now, I kinda forgot, what happened with the fire again?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I forgot too, what fire are you talking about? I haven't read the book/watched the movie in a while.

In the book... well nothing like this happens haha. In the movie though, Bellatrix and some other Death Eaters burn the burrow down with Fiendfyre while Harry and the other kids are there for Christmas. Which creates a GAPING plot hole for the 7th movie, because 1.) Bill and Fleur have their wedding at the now non-existent burrow, and 2.) The burrow being a safe house is very important in the beginning of the 7th book, and it was supposed to be a safe house during the winter holidays of the 6th too. If a safe house can be burned down with Fiendfyre that easily, and can be found by Death Eaters without a problem, what's the point in even having one? It makes the 7-Potter-Getaway impossible, since Voldemort could keep chasing Harry into the safe zones instead of being held back like he was in the book. You know?

omg exactly! i was sooooo pissed of with this! not only does the movie take not put in important scenes from the book, they make a completely NEW one that makes nooo sense!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm guessing they probably saved the house but I totally agree with you

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not really sure that they can. The way they describe Fiendfyre when they use it in the Room of Requirement with Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle made it sound like, while Fiendfyre can be controlled, it's affects were permanent. It can destroy horcruxes so I just always assumed it was impossible to recreate things destroyed by it. But, you never know! I guess we'll find out after the 7th movie comes out haha. I was really surprised JK didn't make a comment on it (not one that I could find anyway...) because it's one of the changes that's a pretty freaking big deal haha.

Hmm good point but I suppose it wouldn't be that difficult to start from scratch if they really had to. And I really can't think of any reason as to why they would put such a stupid scene in a movie....like honestly NO POINT!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Seriously haha. I'm more worried about the whole "safe house" plot hole... how the hell are they going to keep Harry safe at all if Death Eaters can just walk up to a safe house and set it one fire?!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oops, *on haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ohhh, ok ya thats so retarded. some directors are so dumb, they screw everything up

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yea, 'ear 'ear!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

George!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Holy crap I know!!! I think the seventh movies will have a lot of plot filler. MAybe they just fix the burrow. But it was pretty stupid. Maybe the movie writers have something planned though. I hope becuase otherwise they're just Morons.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

omg ikr wtf was the point?!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That pissed me off SO MUCH!!! It just completely ruined the a whole lot of crap, like the wedding, the safe house, how and where the Weasley's are going to live when they're off at Grimmuald Place and camping, and it just screws everything over. It's stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was so annoyed! >:(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That pissed me off >:c

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OMG YES! pissed me off so much im glad someone gets it!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Along with the random fire, the whole 6th movie was a total let down. I was so amped to see it and when leaving the movie, I felt confused and angry. Nontheless, I still have faith that they will do the HP series some justice in the final two movies.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I sure freaking hope so! My friends and I are dressing up for Deathly Hallows; it better not be for nothing, or worse, something stupid and Potterly incorrect!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think they've learned from fan response of the 6th movie and will keep dh faithful. At least they better...

Or. . . . .AVADA KEDAVRA!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I had just finished reading the half-blood prince when i saw that scene in the movie, i had a mental SPAZ trying to figure out when that was in the book. Honestly, theres some things in the movies that REALLY didnt need to be changed at all...for example, HARRY and GINNY first kiss at the quidditch party thing. NOT Ron and lavender, and NOT in the room of requirement. Honestly, WHY must these things be changed???
