Regardless of what it is called obviously the US is superior to England, because we have more inventors, more of the worlds largest companies, better oceans (oh wait, thanks BP). Whether you Brits like it or not, colonists branched off, beat you down during a war and have saved your butts more than a few times, so your welcome for your freedom. Does it really matter if someone calls it soccer or someone calls it football? There are different vernaculars used within different parts of the US, and different parts of the world.

How is the US not obviously superior? Until recently we have been a war power, an economic power, and have come to countries aide when ever it has been necessary. Higher up in the conversation it was stated by BritChick that "we are smarter than you" and I was making the point that if in the past you haven't been smart enough to keep your citizens happy, thus resulting in America, or not smart enough to keep an oil rig from exploding while our idiot president lounges around for more than a month then obviously you're not very smart. Don't try to tell me the US isn't superior because time and again it's been proven that we are. Though recent moral decay in America has driven down what was once a great country I think we can look back on World War II and safely state that the only reason you are not currently a German citizen is because of America
