+465 The ability to sing should not be judged by beauty, age, gender, disibility, race, or sexuality. It should be judged on how well you do it. amirite?

This applies to everything else in life as well.

Is this refering to the Olympics in China?

that or Susan Boyle or all the popular artists who get big by looking good and let auto-tune take care of the rest (except they can alter their looks, too, so I'm not sure what exactly it is you need to do anymore to become a famous singer...)

In conclusion, we have Susan Boyle.

However, the ability to sing isn't something someone has earned it's just another part of them; not unlike their race, gender, age beauty, disability or sexuality, so if someone is to be thought of as superior because of that talent it's the same thing as racial superiority etc. really.

no one said anything about being able to sing made you superior

Well if you can have a singing contest then you can also have a 'who is the better race' contest or whatever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

obviously you would be the superior if it was a conmtest if you won, but being able to itsself does not make you superior just as none of the races are superior
