Yeah like the anon above me said, we use all parts of our brains because if we don't use a given part of our brain for long enough it dies. Just some people are better at utilizing their brain connections I guess.

more like we only use 0% on looking things up and 10% on things that actually matter rather than using 9% on looking things up and 1% on things that matter.

No, you're using parts of your brain to move your fingers to type, to think of what you're typing, and to read the search results. And as 2 people already said, the 10 percent thing is a myth. :)

That was a statistic that got pulled out of context and buttraped by U.Gellar.
A simple task only takes 10% of our brain. We use a lot more doing things all day but one simple task only takes 10%.
Though we have not fully mapped out the brain and its functions for areas completely.
