If Americans would worry as much about the poor in our country as they do the poor in other countries we would have a much greater nation. amirite?

& I think it shouldn't be our government's job, i think we as a people she be the ones helping out...I honestly wish it would happen.

Yes. I don't get why the government gives away so much. We have bad schools, weak infrastructure, and huge debt. If we have to spend extra money, at least make sure the US citizens get the benefit.

As of right now, we're being jilted by a country that should have known better. Not to be insensitive, but Haiti is geologically doomed to these kinds of disasters happening and they should have been prepared. We're also angry at BP for not being prepared in an emergency, yet we're only angry because our greed is the reason that whole rig was set up so sloppily.

Agreed, I care about other countries, but whenever someone is like "eat your food, there are starving people in Africa(or wherever)" I always have to be like "There are probably starving people down the street...can we care about them too?"
