I'm 18 and I still don't make my own choices. The only way you'll be able to make your won choices if you're no long dependent on your parents.

A conversation between me and my mom on my 18th birthday. Mom: "So, now that you're 18, what can you do?" Me: "What can I do, or what will I do?" Mom: "What can you do?" Me: "I can buy cigarettes, play the lotto, I get get a tattoo or something pierced without your permission, I can buy porn, I can make porn, and uh... Oh, yea, I can vote now too." My mom left in silence. Good times.
