+737 Walking into a classroom and seeing a substitute teacher is like getting presents on Christmas morning, amirite?

Depends on the class, but generally, yes. We had one teacher last year where whenever she was absent, everyone cheered as they walked in. It was great watching both the students' and the substitute's faces light up at each other.

Then all you do is "busy" work. D;

Sometimes. But in my Chinese class, obviously your average substitute teacher is most likely to not know anything about the language, so every time we have a sub we watch movies :D

I hate subs! Whenever I need to ask a teacher an important question, there's always a sub. Also they never pronounce my name right and never know how the class works. It's annoying as hell.

That happens to me too! Whenever I have a very important question, there is a sub, every time!

whenever my history teacher was absent, more than half the kids would just cut class

definitely depends on the teacher, but i love subs. even the bad ones because there's always someone in my class who cusses the sub out. its great :D

Whenever I had subs in high school, by the end of class, the recycling bin would be filled to overflowing with an entire paper air force

Usually :) just recently, I had a sub that marked us all as there, then let us all leave school grounds(against the rules) to get lunch(though, I also had a cool teacher who expected this and was fine with it)

Not this one common sub at our school. She looks like Mr. Frederickson off of Up.
