Really? There are soooo many more impressive ones, especially by Poe. Anabelle Lee, for example.

I just like the creepiness of that one I guess, and I don't read many poems. I'll go read Anabelle Lee right now.

Mine too. I've actually got the whole thing memorized. lol :) Poe is my absolute favorite.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I can't believe you memorized it! That's amazing!
by Anonymous13 years ago
LOL Yeah. It was for a school assignment and I went a bit overboard. But then I got the chicken pox and never got to recite it. So now I just mumble it to myself to piss people off sometimes...x)

I love this poem but my 8th grade history teacher makes me think of the Simpson's Treehouse of Horror where Bart was the raven and said "Quote the Raven, Eat My Shorts."...
by Anonymous13 years ago
i agree...this is one of my favourite poems as well :)

In 8th grade my teacher made us memorize parts of this and all of Annabelle Lee... I remember most of both of them xD

Everyone likes The Raven. It's just a fact of life. There wasn't anyone in my English class that didn't like this one.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I always thought the Raven was kind of a jerk.
Just leave the dude alone!
