+414 Without God our week would be: Sinday, Mournday, Tearsday, Wasteday, Thirstday, Fightday, Shatterday. Seven days without God makes one weak! amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People who cannot accept there is no God are too weak to imagine a world with no divine plan, no afterlife and no reason. We are here because evolution occurred! We are a bunch of cells and no man in the clouds gives a toss. We are not eternally loved by a creator, if people hate you no God loves you. With no God life goes on. Get over it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, those who believe in God are strong. It takes a lot to have the faith that there is someone out there that loves you so immensely. So you believe that all of a sudden, boom, we were here because of coincidence. How could humans function if we weren't made by intelligence? Do watches grow in the forest? Our bodies are so complicated, and it would be harder for me to believe that nothing made everything out of nothing instead of an almighty, powerful God creating everything so precisely out of nothing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

your talking about creatism, but why does the universe need a begining? only because our human minds tell us so. in reality, the universe may not have any begining. there are new scientific theories that recognize the fact that there may have been something before the big bang but we can't trace that far back because the universe is expanding at such a rapid rate.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You mean creationism. Everything has a beginning, everything, that is, except for God, who always was. You say that the universe is rapidly expanding, but what makes you think that it hasn't been expanding at that rate forever? If that were the case, it would have had to have a starting point. Humans most likely will never know for sure about how or when the universe came to be, but would it change anything if we did? Some things just aren't of our concern, and we all have to accept that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you say that everything must have a begining, but why does it HAVE to? because we, as humans, can't grasp the concept of a beginingless, endless thing. your saying that's what god is (thought who or what god is has changed throughout history and many different religions disagree), but why can't the universe be the timeless one? the reason we see that everything has a begining is because we see time as a parallel to the wold around us, event though, in reality, time is relative to many things (for example the speed were moving at) and is not a fixed position as we see it.without the universe time would not exist because time cannot exist without matter, so instead of the universe having a begining, couldn't it just be time that began? the universe could be eternal and we just aren't able to understand that.

What the fuck.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

coming from someone called canadianpimp

by Anonymous 13 years ago

amen....lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol Yes, the roots of the days of the week were named after Roman gods, but that doesn't mean that without any god the days would be horrible. They would simply be called something else.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Some of them were actually named after Norse gods, but your point is still valid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I lol at silly christians

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's suppose to be you instead of god.and this a fb group so fuck u.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually Thursday will still be Thursday because Thursday got it's name from the vikings who orginally called it Thorsday, for their god.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't give a shit if you're christian or not, that up there was pretty clever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The word play is, but not what he's talking about. Just saying.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I meant the wordplay. Thus the "Christian or not". Which meant beliefs didn't matter, only sense of humor.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Completely true, completely true. If someone isn't Christian and are completely comfortable with that, they should feel tolerant (and pretty neutral) when it comes to religions, rather than overly defensive. That shows insecurity. (PS, other than the first sentence, this wasn't targeted at you Fatty, just my general belief/opinion:)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Mhm, completely true.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've been living my entire life without God, and I'm not weak. :l However, I have to admit that this post is pretty damn clever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i don't find it clever i find it rather astonishing that people think that the world would actually be terrible if "God" didn't "exist" the world would be exactly the same because God doesn't do anything, does he? I mean i don't see any miracles happening on a daily basis i see an oil spill thats all

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Life can't be perfect all the time. I'm sure that He'd like to give people the opportunity to fix things up for themselves.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

All i'm saying is the world would not be so terrible if there was no god because its already pretty terrible now if you think about it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He does give us that oppurtunity.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God does not interfere with our actions due to free will so you are right, the World would be EXACTLY the same as it is now with no God, because God doesn't do shit down here on Earth. Technically only your afterlife would be different. But your time on Earth would be exactly the same whether everybody believed in God or whether nobody believed in God.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is a clever post, that's all there is to say.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Holy crap. Arguing on here is getting you absolutely nowhere. I think it was clever how he played with words. Why does this need to be made into a debate. Chill out.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Honestly, the world would be better without the concept of God. All the horrible things would still happen, but there would be no friendships torn apart or fights started over something as simple as your beliefs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(time-to-dance): That's coming from someone who doesn't know God. To Christians, He's not just some concept, and really, His guidelines are helpful. Everything that the bible teaches is about how to be a better person. Don't you think the world would have a lot less fights if we all didn't go around killing each other and sleeping with our friend's husbands? There would be a lot less controversy if we did all love one another, but that just can't be in this time. After the fall of man, life wasn't perfect anymore, but we've been given the chance to be forgiven, and if someone is upset with me for sharing that with them, then so be it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't think this was EVER supposed to turn into a large heated religious debate. JUST ENJOY THE HUMOR OF THE POST AND GO ON WITH YOUR LIFE!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No no no, it's 7 days without chocolate makes one weak.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Silly, gods not real. :-) the sooner you accept it the better.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Without god... THE FUCKING WEEKS WOULD STILL BE NAMED THE SAME. HE DID NOT INVENT THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. Fuck.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i like this post!! so true!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

amen to that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fucking religious bastards....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow, this post is amazing, so if you don't care for it, then just go away.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

um this is an "opinion" site so if someone doesn't care for it, they can say so. This isn't an "agree with me or gtfo" kind of site.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is really good. Thanks :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Personally, without "god" my life has been great. Funday seven days a week, and not some bad nights either ;] He doesn't exist anyways. I mean, I've read Harry Potter, but I'm not about to drop to the floor praising Dumbledore anytime soon. Why would anyone think that the bible is nothing more than fiction?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why wouldn't you believe that there is a God? How do you think the universe was created and how we're here on earth right now? Scientists say that the big bang theory thing is how the universe was made. But, then how was that big bang made? It's not just a couincadence that we're alive right now…

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Coming from someone who can't even spell coincidence I can't imagine you'd be able to understand the complexity of the science behind the big bang theory.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha, sry, I didn't know how to spell that. Anyways. God gave us science so we could figure it out. I honestly don't really care if you believe in him or not. But one day, you'll find the truth…

by Anonymous 13 years ago

See there you go again, praising God for things he didn't even do, God didn't give us science, we gave it to ourselves. In fact, if we followed the Bible like it says we never would have gotten into science because technically looking to science for answers rather than God is considered a form of idolatry, one of the big no-nos in the 10 commandments. Luckily we did, and it just about 100% disproves any notion there is of a higher being, but some people are too lost without some kind of false hope or belief that they wouldn't be able to bear such news, therefore we still continue this little charade of God and Jesus.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Are you atheist?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, many things happen that are against the 10 commandments that A LOT of people are into. Ever heard of adultery? And the laws of physics state that an object at rest will stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force. What created the solar wind causing the big bang? What created the SUN? I honestly do not mean to be rude, but REALLY???

by Anonymous 13 years ago

STOP DEBATING! Do you honestly think that you're going to change anybody's mind? No madder what you say, you aren't going to change anybody's religious views over the comments section on amirte. JUST MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm hungry…

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like this post. I think it is pretty clever, but I'm pretty devestated that a religious argument began here. I do not believe those who are religious should tell others that God is real, and that if you don't believe in Him you will go to Hell. Similarily, the Atheists who say God isn't real are just being really mean. God is probably the only thing that these people have in their lives, and they take comfort in knowing that when they die, they will be in safe hands. How disrespectful can you be by shuting down someone's beliefs? Look, Superman could be your God, but you don't see Christians laughing at you, do you? I don't care how crazy it may seem that there is a superior being in this universe. Respect other people's beliefs. That's all they ask. So just shut up, and if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it. It takes a lot of courage to have faith in something that might not even be there, so I tell ya christians have more courage than you do.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hey, I'm athiest. I have principles.
