+304 Hey, I don't mind you going straight to my pantry when you are in my house, as long as you're smart enough to not do it if my parents are there, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I do it especially if their parents are there.

My parents insist on strangers eating our food. not COMPLETE strangers, but still.

How should we know what customs you adhere to in your household?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Most parents don't like it...as seen by the ratio of votes.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No. That either means that many people think their parents don't trust their friends, or that many people have been to your house without the welcome feeling that the host should provide.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Right. Either scenario includes not raiding the pantry. Personally, my parents find it rude.

But no one would no how your parents would react to friends raiding your pantry without having been invited to your home in the first place. Besides, you can just tell your friends not to eat at your house anymore.

That's so strange...everywhere I go/every time people come over parents are like EAT MAH FOOD CUZ WE LOVE ERRYBODY

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My parents don't care if people eat our food and neither do my friends parents. . .

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Are there really that many parents who care about this?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

OP's parents must be really stingy.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

When my friends come over, on the way to our house she literally says "Make yourself at home. We have lots of snacks, so feel free to munch on whatever you like." or something like that.

My parents offer lots of food whenever we have people over and they're not in the slightest stingy about my friends eating our food, but if someone literally walks into my house and heads straight for the cupboard with all the snacks in it, then yeah. I'd consider that rude.
