It bothers you when people say "would of" instead of "would have" (or should, could, etc.) amirite?

When they're speaking they're probably using the contraction, "would've" which is would have, but sounds like would of. I think you meant write instead of say but either way I agree.

People say that alot in the South(I'm from Texas), it's difficult for me to actually say "would have", like it doesn't feel right saying that.

Ha I'm so far south in Texas that we speak Spanish more often than not. Everything sounds weird to me.

There's a contraction of "would have" pronounced like would of- would've.
