I obviously don't understand? I understand perfectly, you are sick of stupid jokes littering your profound thoughts. You wish the website was only real discussions about controversial topics, but are angry when puns and jokes interfere with quote unquote real posts. I understand that. But, some people might be feeling a little down, and a funny pun/joke would cheer them up, and make them feel better. Half of the posts are puns. Get over it.
