You're not really friends with someone until you've had a conversation about God, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Thats not true. Some people dont believe there is a god.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well I don't agree with the post, but going by what it says, you don't have to believe in him to have had a convo about it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Well what if someone asks what religion you are and you say atheist so they decide to never talk about him around you? Then you would never have talked about him but instead talked about religion...

The coversation could be about your mutual lack of belief that binds your friendship.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Exactly. You're not really friends with someone unless you've spoken about religious beliefs.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Absolutely false! If someone has different religious beliefs than you, you can still be friends with them and be tolerant of one another and respect each other's religious values. What is with people these days?!?!
by Anonymous13 years ago
That's not what I meant in the least! I just meant that you speak with them about it. I'm Atheist. I have spoken with all of my friends about God, there or not. And I never did it to weed out who I should and should not be friends with. It's just a topic that rules a lot of people's lives, and it's a deep conversation that shows you really respect each other. I meant almost exactly the opposite of what you said.

I get what you mean, sometimes my friends and I have surprisingly deep conversations, but that's not what makes you friends with them.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Every single one of my friends believe in God. I'm the only one that doesn't, although I've never told any of them. That doesn't mean we're not truly friends, it just doesn't come up and it's not a concern.
by Anonymous12 years ago
No actually it does in fact mean they aren't your friends. Look at this guy above me! HE HAS NO FRIENDS!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Who are you to define who someone is really friends with?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Why is it any of their buisness wether or not i believe in God anyway? Religious beliefs shouldn't matter.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I agree that I've had conversations about religion with my closest friends, but I became close friends with them long before that conversation happened.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It sucks when you think you're friends with someone then they find out your religious or political beliefs are different from yours and they stop being your friend.
by Anonymous12 years ago
-Do you believe in god?
-No.
-Alright, we're good.
