+184 If mirrors were never invented then nobody would know what pretty or ugly is, no one would have to wear make-up or worry about their appearance, amirite?

You can see your reflection in water. People would just use that to see themselves before leaving or to apply make up.

Oh well I meant to say no reflection at all I guess I should've included that part haha.

people would still know pretty v ugly just by looking at more than one person. But people wouldnt be self conscience. so you are halfway right...

you would still be able to see other people...

Other people could still see you...and judge you...and think you're ugly/pretty etc. Having no mirrors wouldn't change anything.

Nobody would be able to put on make-up though, and they wouldn't be able to look in a mirror and love r hate what they saw. Not having reflection would nearly eliminate people's ability to be harsh on themselves over their appearance, and I think that's a bit more common than other people making negative comments. It would still all be pretty much the same, there'd still be negativity and judgement based on appearances, but there'd be a good bit less of it.

If we had no reflections, then our image would be based on other people's perceptions. Then we would have no basis for self esteem.

But then Perceus wouldn't have been able to kill medusa and we would all be stone anyways, so it wouldn't matter.
