You wonder how stores prevent stealing when they have sidewalk sales, amirite?

They must have people monitor what's going on, but there is still the possibility of a theft.

lol everytime I pass one I consider just taking something but I don't, I guess it's jus the possibility of maybe being seen or maybe just a moral thing. I guess they count on that to prevent thefts

Thief: "Hm, I could totally steal, like, half this stuff and no one would even notice until I was long gone...but, wait, no, that would be morally wrong! I'll just be on my way, then."

haha well I'm weird I guess like I would totally jack some books from the bookcases they have outside of borders but I just can't bring myself to do it for whatever reason :P I would just feel bad hah

I went to the beach and we went to the stores nearby. My cousin was trying on sunglasses outside and he completely forgot he had them on. He made it all the way to the car before he realized and ran to put them back.

lol. if I got that far I would just keep them. Then, with my luck, I would get chased by the police.

I've always wondered this too. But then I realize the stores have surveillance cameras outside the building as well as inside. So it's being monitored closely.

They keep shotguns strapped to the back of their leg.

In some supermarkets where I live, they put the fruit stands outside, and no one is outside watching. I've never seen anyone steal, but it'd be totally easy for a homeless or hungry person to take a couple of apples or a mango.
