by Anonymous 12 years ago

Think of it this way: my sport is your sport's punishment!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or my warm-up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so your warm up is an 8 mile run? Nice.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ours does too, except our says: Our sport is your sports punishment and all you get is all you got.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Or my warm-up.

If CC is not a sport, than all other sports are just games.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Um duh... cc isn't a game... that's what doesn't make it a sport... anybody can run... that doesn't make it a sport! XC is down there with chess.. it's not a sport!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

True anyone can run but not everyone can RUN FADT

by Anonymous 11 years ago

*FAST*

by Anonymous 11 years ago

cross country takes no skill anyone can run in other sports you actually have to be good at something

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yo loser, go run 6 miles straight at a 6:45 pace and tell me you put no effort into that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

plus the only people that run are gay men, weird women, and old people.... almost as bad as gymnastics

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like how you went Anonymous

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The difference? It's COMPETITIVE running

by Anonymous 12 years ago

All sports are exercise...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

by Anonymous 12 years ago

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've worked out with like every sports team at my school at some point in time, and the cross country team is the one I try to stay furthest away from. They run at least 7 miles every day before school. Then have a crazy practice 7th hour. Those guys are damn good runners, with incredible times. Besides, they're all runners in track too, which is also a sport.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If you think about it like that....Soccer is just kicking a ball into a net, football is taking a ball and running it to another end of the field and wrestling is just too men humping. I play all 3 and I could tell you some of the workouts for cross country are killer for me. Running 20 miles for practice....i'd start crying.

Your username is a code, therefore your opinion doesn't matter.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's a bullshit sport, why is it even in the olympics? Same category as eating contests.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

XC is the only sport where you're constantly putting effort into something rather than timeouts, waterbreaks, halftime...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Some people are being such bad sports D:

by Anonymous 12 years ago

A sport is something, team or individual, that is unbiased in scoring/ placement, which requires physical skill. When it comes to sports, you don't have to look good to be good. By that definition, football, soccer, tennis, biking, swimming, cross country, etc. are all sports. Car racing is not a sport because the person is not doing the work, the car is. Same with horse riding, because the person isn't doing much either, and parts of it are scored based on how pretty you look. Therefore, dancing and cheerleading are not sports either. All of these example require practice and skills, but that does not necessarily make them sports.

I strongly disagree because I run cross country. i did not start off wanting to though. I wanted to do volleyball but I got cut. That's the thing about cross country. You don't get cut just because you're not a fast runner. It is not running 3 miles non stop. Everyone that says that it is not a sport should go for a 3 mile run nonstop. Try and do it in less than 25 minutes. The fastes girl on my cross country team has a time of 20 minutes something. So say again that my sport is not a sport. It makes me mad when my sport is disrespected. Its all about the mental will power to run that distance and push farther than what your body is willing to do.
