ok i totally have to comment on this because you have now got me thinking about it and i feel as though it's obligatory for me to share my story. so i like this guy (as in have a crush on him)...at least im pretty sure i do :O. but we've already gone out 2wice and he never treated me as well as other girls he dated & he broke up with me once and so now, even though i like him and enjoy his company, i wouldn't want to date him for fear of having my heart broken again. but it is nice to daydream about him sometimes. (+anyway he's dating someone else.) is that what this post is supposed to mean?

I thought it was more of something along the lines of: "Oh he's soooo cute and smart and wonderful! But... he's got a lot of friends. So I'd probably get overflowed with socialization all the time...." I'm getting the idea that the person is fine in some cases, but also bad in some which you don't want.

well partly i agree with you; someone COULD see it that way but i was just sharing my opinion. and yeah i agree with the person being half-and-half. in my opinion, you just can't date someone unless you know they're good for you, and you like EVERYTHING about them.

Yeah, but there are a lot of cases where the negatives obviously are bigger than the positives. Like a smart and hot boy that's in gangs. Smart and hot? Great. Gangs? ohfuckno.

Yes, there is two guys- one named Gabriel who's really attractive but I never spend much time with him due to different classes. The other is Jordan who everyone thinks we're going out but he likes my best friend. I kinda unwillingly fantasize bout both of them but not in a date-y sort of way.

So what OP means is, someone you like, but you don't want to go out because of complications like distance, or you couldnt trust them not to cheat

Yes there is a guy thats in a few of my classes that I think would be an awesome friend but I also kind of like him but really I just want to be a friend. :/

Glad to know others feel this too. This feeling's kinda hard to explain...maybe it's because you're attracted to certain things on the person but extremely revolted by others.
