WHY do people say "maths". Either use "math" or "mathematics".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

British people have different colloquialisms then Americans. And maths does make sense even if I don't like it either: math[ematic]s.

I'm glad I heard this from you rather than the math professor from Oxford visiting my school next week....

Now THAT would have been embarrassing...

I love algebra.

Me too! *highfives* I find Geomatry okay. But I love equations like my baby.

grins :) we don't really do that much geometry in s.a. *rolls eyes* - our curriculum is a bit confused - but the geometry that we did was awesome :) Only thing I HATE is statistics. D:

i hate math. i'm really good at it, but i hate it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I would love maths if I didn't have such an annoying teacher.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Math is my best and least favorite subject. It is kind of nice to find out that I got an A+ on the biggest math test so far this year during my last class of the day on a Friday, though... :)

Maths? Shouldn't it be "math" or "mathematics?" Well, it's true either way. I do really like math. I just can't do it.
