+794 It's weird how there are "generations" since people are constantly being born, when does one end and the next one begin, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well considering a generation is 10 years, logic would dictate that every 10 years one ends and another begins..

uh, no a generation has no set amount of time you're thinkin of a decade.... however generations are associated with about ten years but usually more like this is the eighties/nineties generation

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so since i was born in '95 and my sister was born in '96 were in the same generation but our littlest sister who was born in 2000 is in a different one?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yes actually. because think about it? will she grow up with hey arnold, ah real monsters, all the toys that we played with? no she won't, she has new cartoons and new toys and Hannah Montana and the Cheetah Girls instead of Backstreet Boys Aaroon Carter and Spice Girls. So in my opinion she's in a different generation.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This isn't a matter of opinions... That's not technically what a generation is. You, your siblings, and cousins are one generation; your parents, aunts, and uncles are another generation; your grandparents and their siblings and such are another generation... It's hard to define outside of your own family, so people usually go by cultural trends, like what you're talking about

well it kind of is..kids born in or after 2000 are the "millenials" or something. but the kids in the 90's arent.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh shes missing out on such good things!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The whole "90 kids" craze is getting beyond annoying. Obviously we're going to think that what we grew up with was the best, just like those who grew up in the 80s think they had it best, and those in the 70s, and so on and so forth. Like wow, look at us, we had a show about a dude with a football shaped head. We're sooooo elite. Yeah bull crap.

i'm pretty sure it's supposed to be every 40 years, the average lifespan but i could be wrong

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The average lifespan...40 years? Our average life span is like 85 now.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

40 years?! Although my mom denies her age, I have to go tell her she's above average.

by Anonymous 13 years ago
