J.K. Rowling is better than Stephenie Meyer because her fight scenes actually happen, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Not to mention the fact her characters have depth... and feeling... And yeah, the FIGHT SCENES ARE EPIC!!!!
by Anonymous13 years ago
And the fact that her plot is complex.
Oh, and she doesn't have sparkling vampires.
by Anonymous13 years ago
And she doesn't build something up for nothing to happen
And she completes most, if not all, plotholes.
And none of her characters are needy, dependent, and "perfect"

I was so looking forward to an epic vampire fight scene. It would've (almost) made up for the suckiness of the rest of the book, but no. Why? Because Meyer doesn't like interesting stuff.

EXACTLY!
the end of breaking dawn, was an epic fail. you cant have 700 pages of bull shit and not have a fight scene that was suppose to happen, but didnt, cause they just wanted to "talk it out" -__-

Hahaha this was my exact reaction to the book. I'm glad I'm not the only one

JK Rowling can at least write. Meyer has a handful of descriptive words that she rapes over and over again in her books. The books lack language fit for a child higher than fifth grade. Rowling is an excellent writer.

you harry potter fans r all jerks! u dont see any twilight fans posting mean crap about u guys! and its not cause harry potter is good (cause its not) its because we're considerate of others and anyway y would we waste our time doing crap like writing mean crap about a different series when there r tons of better stuff to do in life! u guys just dont have lives! thats how i see it!
by Anonymous13 years ago
So... have you even read the Harry Potter books?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't have a problem with people liking Twilight unless they try to shove it down my throat. I only voted you down because of your horrendous spelling. Try reading Harry Potter, maybe then you'll learn what real spelling looks like.

Oh my gosh, you have no idea how ticked off I was at the end of Breaking Dawn!!! That was some bs!!! I wanted to hit Stephenie right dead in her jaw.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Uhh JK Rowling is just better than Stephenie Meyer. No explanation needed
by Anonymous13 years ago
did you know that stephenie meyer based the twilight books off of a dream?! i really dont want to know what her other dreams are like...
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't understand why all Harry Potter fans hate Twilight. Yes, Harry Potter is better but Twilight is still really good and it isn't just about "sparkling vampires". And anyways I don't think you guys would like it if people were talking about how bad an author JK Rowling is.

Go you

except in the sixth movie... there's supposed to be a big battle and it mysteriously DOESN'T HAPPEN. That's when Bill gets mauled by Fenrir Greyback. How r they going to fit that in?!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Harry Potter is one of the few books where the battle between the 'good guys' and the 'bad guys' is actually realistic when in comes to casualties. Not only was the fight conclusive in the last book, but a bunch of the characters fighting for good died too.

I love both hp and twilight but for different reasons; harry potter - amazing plot, writing skill, characterisation, and reality, and twilight because I simply wanted to find out what happened (but had to ignore the wiriting to do so!). The fight scene should have went much better, in no reality would a huge bunch of naturally bloodlust fuelled species have settled things by 'talking things through'.
'Chagrin' is how i would describe my reaction to the fight scene! :P
p.s. the hp fans (on this at least) have better grammar :)
