Then what do you do with your fish when they die?

yeah dont do it when they are alive, but it is the most appropriate fish funeral

I buried my first couple dead goldfish deep underground in my backyard. They deserved better than the toilet.

I've had 6 fish in my life. I flushed them all down the toilet, except one I burried in the garden.

Actually, I had to flush a gold fish down the toilet just this morning. His name was Fred, and the other one who is still alive is named George because they were twins like from Harry Potter. But now Fred is dead and George just kinda mopes about with my snail Gary who won't pay attention to him because Gary is a snob.

I buried mine. I think it's actually really messed up that people are so okay with flushing an animal (and a pet for that matter) down the toilet, even if it is dead. Like, it was once a living thing. Have some respect. I hate that people act as though fish aren't 'real' pets/animals.

I've had 3 goldfish. 1 was Goldie, and she was 7 when she died. It's just not right to flush a 7 year old pet down the same hole I flush my shit. So she was buried. Then my second fish, Tippit, I had for a week... So flush ;) and my current fish, Panda, is 3. So he's getting buried in the garden. My next fish's name is either going to be Dorothy, Waldo, Lava, Omar, or Spaceship. Or maybe Epic Dragon Sunshine.
