We will find a cure for cancer one day, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
The cure is probably out there in plants in rainforests that havn't been experimented on. But at the rate we are cutting down forests, the cure could be loss before scientists have the chance to test it.

That actually happened once. I can't remember the specifics, but those guy was doing testing and research on trees in the amazon. He found a tree that could treat and possibly even cure AIDS. he sent a sample back to one of his buddy's labs to confirm it, and they told him to go get the tree. When he went back, one of the tribes had cut it down and used it for firewood.

Everyone has cancer inside their body, it's just a matter of it being triggered, which happens from lifestyle habits. people need to change their life to prevent cancer.

Cancer happens when a cell mutates and becomes defective, then multiplies so there are a lot of bad cells, and the tissue/organ/whatever has difficulty sustaining itself... clearly not everyone has this problem...

No, actually she's right. The cells won't mutate and multiply in a completely healthy body.

(Trust Me): I never said they wouldn't... I'm just saying not everyone has cancer.

No, they do. Only it won't become an epidemic if people are completely healthy. Liken it to having a virus in your body, but not succumbing to it. In America, most cancer occurs because of what we put into our bodies. Like she said, changing your lifestyle will prevent it.

(Trust Me): -____- Carcinogens can cause your cells to over-multiply and become cancerous, yes, but you don't have "cancer" in your body. You have the potential for it, sure, and with a healthy lifestyle it can be prevented.
