Yeah, this statement is poorly worded, inaccurate, and judgemental. People who choose to use recreational drugs, by and large, don't make the arguement that they "need" them. It's just fun. So what if it's not your kind of fun? People don't "need" cable, pre-packaged food, or any of the multitude of gadgets that most of us tote around all day... but they make life easier and more fun. I certainly hope you're doing grand things with your life, to feel like you have a basis for judging people that you think are wasting theirs.

I disagree with this statement, purely for it's poor wording. I am on prescription drugs for n anxiety disorder, and sure at Hell I need them. Without them, I am an emotional wreck and I can't sleep. Illegal drugs, however, are unnecessary and rather stupid, but whoever takes them chooses too and if they choose to use meth or pot or whatev and waste away their lives, when there are many healthier ways to get the happiness you feel then high, I honestly don't care. They will face the consequences, eventually.

*its *than You know, pot isn't very unhealthy and it's no biggie, so you shouldn't assume that occasional pot users are "wasting away their lives." Michael Phelps smoked pot a little, no biggie, and he raped the Olympics. So just chill, they're fine.
