+544 Ethos water from Starbucks is ridiculous. "Pay $2 for our water and we'll donate $.05 to clean water". Just buy water from the store that costs $.50/bottle, and, if you really care, take it upon yourself to make a sizable donation to the cause that will actually make a difference, amirite?

or buy 50 cent water and give 1.5 to the cause

Exactly. This is my post, btw.

welp, considering how many people buy those waters all across america and wherever else they sell them, that could very well add up to a whole lotta money. just sayin.

I just think charging a premium price on water just to donate a tiny percentage of profits is an ultimate irony and an indicator of Starbucks' greed--they could easy donate 10x as much per bottle and still make a profit for themselves on those water bottles, so why don't they, if the entire premise of that line of water is the good cause it supports? Better something than nothing, you're right.

Yeah, or DON'T BUY WATER. Drink the TAP WATER!! If really necessary, buy a filter- but buying expensive water that comes in a plastic bottle uses ridiculous amounts of gasoline and energy and creates tons of waste. Any water, no matter how much they say they put towards "clean water". Saving energy and waste is better than any donation.

This too, but the post really wasn't about the environment.
