Attractive people don't get it easier in life. amirite?
by Anonymous11 years ago
They usually have more friends, people are naturally drawn toward attractive people, they can study all day but people wouldn't make fun of them for it because they're probably popular. Oh,and its kind of easier to get a wife/husband if you're good looking.

So what have you got to say about actors/actresses, models, etc...?
by Anonymous11 years ago
There are many unattractive actors & actresses. They're just more appreciated for their talents so no one really cares that they're unattractive. People also generally think that actors & actresses are attractive, even if they're not. Confident, happy people appear more attractive than they are.

What I'm saying is there are known to be more people that go fan-girl crazy over Ryan Gosling than Jonah Hill (I actually think Jonah Hill is kinda cute now ), simply because Gosling is seen as more attractive. Of course there are many unattractive actors/actresses, but the more attractive ones get more spotlight because people are stupid and don't really appreciate people for the quality of their acting as much as they should.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Oh, and I totally agree with the last part of that.
by Anonymous11 years ago
They actually do. Many people are superficial and studies have shown that more people are willing to help out an attractive person than an unattractive person.
It's sad. It's stupid. It's fucking disgusting and immoral, but so are humans.

Life is a popularity contest.
by Anonymous11 years ago
It's certainly not that easy over here on the unattractive side. I'd be completely fucked if people didn't find me funny. Had some SERIOUS work put in to developing my personality.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Pretty people have it easy. But it's important to remember that beauty only lasts for so long.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Yeah, then you die.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Precisely.
by Anonymous11 years ago
That escalated quickly.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I'm hideous and also very socially impaired. I don't have a chance.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Everyone has a chance. Just go do something you like doing, even if that involves as little contact with others as possible. Do whatever makes you happy. Also I think beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I've gone out with plenty men my friends thought were hideous and I found attractive.

It's wrong to automatically assume that an attractive person has it better than everyone just because they look better. You don't know anything about that individual. Looking good doesn't give one a good life.
by Anonymous11 years ago
They are at an automatic advantage, though. Being attractive is a big fucking plus in this world.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Being attractive doesn't mean you'll be happy, successful, or smart, have money, a place to live, a loving family, etc.
by Anonymous11 years ago
No, but it makes those things easier.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I don't think sporky is getting the drift of this.
by Anonymous11 years ago
If you take two people who are exactly alike except one is much more attractive, the attractive one will have a much better life.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Being attractive means you have to deal with people only liking you for your looks. Where's the love in that?
by Anonymous11 years ago
Hot problems.
by Anonymous11 years ago
No, because people still need to know their personality. If he or she is extremely conceded, mean, and arrogant, people will associate their face with a terrible personality and that will eventually turn them off and see them as average or unremarkable.
by Anonymous11 years ago
So what you're saying is, you can be as much of a dick as you want and people will still like you.
That sounds so tough.
by Anonymous11 years ago
OK, wow. You... wow. I said the exact opposite thing. I don't even know how you managed to get that interpretation. Are you maybe confusing another comment with mine and responded to the wrong person? I hope so because otherwise you must have some sort of comprehensive problem.
I was saying that they could be the most attractive person in the world but, if they have an ass hole personality, no one will see them as attractive.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I was replying to StickCaveman, not you.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I was just trying to be objective.
by Anonymous11 years ago
it gives the attractive person a better opportunity to have people get to know them for who they are as well.
by Anonymous11 years ago
People confuse my mom as my sister ALL THE TIME cause of how immensely beautiful she is. Because of this, she gets a lot more of an advantage in things than most of my other friend's moms. My mom's gotten away with literally 7 tickets from the police just by simply being charming enough, gotten things from a store half off when there isn't even a freaking sale, and all sorts of other craziness.
But, although being good looking does have it's advantages, it doesn't necessarily over shine being smart or talented in other ways. It may seem that way sometimes, but it's how our society is.
by Anonymous11 years ago
If by "it" you mean sex, then yes. Fuck yes.
by Anonymous11 years ago
People tend to take beautiful people less seriously, as if it's impossible to have both beauty and brains
by Anonymous11 years ago
All of you sound quite bitter. I'm attractive and I use it the same way I use every other thing I have going for me. Theres no shame in that. Geniuses shouldn't have to act stupid to make other people feel better about themselves, its the same thing.
