+514 Went to an Iron Maiden concert yesterday. Instead of pulling out lighters at the end everyone pulled out their cell phones. What happened to the good ol' days? amirite?

Actually I went to see Dream Theater, my dad and I only thought Iron Maiden was opening. The lady lied and said Iron Maiden was opening, sooo it was a bit of a disappointment when we found out they were the main band. But the seats were fantastic and even though we never got into Iron Maiden, they were amazing too. :]

D: That kind of makes me sad on the inside. You also just made it a little easier for me to stalk you. hello

Ooh, lucky me! Glad I could help. :D

Holy fuck, Inorite? How could you not get into Maiden? and Dream theatre has great instrumentals, I just don't like the singer.

They're good, I just never listened to them growing up so I never had a great interest in them.

Because no one has a lighter anymore.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Majority of people own lighters.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, they may own lighters, but I don't know anyone who carries one around with them. Mainly because much fewer people smoke now than did before, and that was the primary reason for carrying around a lighter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I only said that because there were TONS of people smoking at the concert. Well, during the break. A couple infront of me was smoking pot though, it smelled horrible.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

All right, that makes more sense. Gotcha. ;D

people stopped smoking is what happened. cell phones are healthier anyways

I'm sorry, Maiden is the best metal band ever. you should feel lucky you saw them live. i would pay $500, no joke.

Try $65. Their tour was pretty wide-spread, maybe they'll be around you sometime.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree. But at some of these Gangsta Rap concerts they pull out guns.

The new Rolling Stones tour tickets average over $600/ea. Maybe the fans will hold up their Rolex's or the keys to the new Maybach.
