+293 apple should make the batteries in their devices replaceable, so you don't have to get a whole new ipod when the battery dies in your otherwise perfectly intact ipod, amirite?

You can replace the battery if you take it somewhere to get repaired. :)

isnt that what a charger is for? ( idk i don't have an i pod )

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OP means that once the battery is used up, it can't be recharged.

if youve had ur ipod long enough for the battery to die its time for an upgrade

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Some people can't afford that

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How'd they afford one in the first place?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Older models tend to be cheaper than newer ones. Also it takes saving money to buy one. After I buy something I don't immediately start saving for an upgrade.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

that's like saying some people can't afford new tires for their Porsche. I mean it's not like it's groceries...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think you are trying to be clever, but it didn't work. But have a cookie for the effort.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I wasn't trying to be clever, I was trying to say that not being able to afford a new iPod isn't the end of the world. A lot of people can't afford an iPod period.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Then those people will not have to worry about their batteries needing to be replaced.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, replacing the battery would be like replacing tires. Getting an upgrade is like buying a 2012 Porsche because the 2011 wasn't good enough...it's more expensive

I only had my iPod for two years when it died. I went to the Apple Store, and instead of replacing the battery they made me buy a new one at a discounted price.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You actually can buy new batteries. For my nano it was gonna cost 65 to replace the battery and you can either mail it in or take it to an apple store.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

When I got my iPod touch, the batterie was all screwy( factory error) so they just gave me a new one.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You can replace it yourself too. there are plenty of YouTube videos where people show you how to change the battery...don't do it if you mess things up easily though.
