+190 When you try and comprehend life itself, you have to realize God created life...it's ridiculous to think something so complex and amazing was created randomly, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You'll get a lot of crap for this post. But it's completely true.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No... I don't have to realize that your god created it all, and no, it's not ridiculous to think something differently than you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*God

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*your god Other people believe in other gods, therefore your god is not simply the only god.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*God. God is not a god.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then what is he?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God is a name, not a description

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Again... then what is he?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This post a fail.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

^This

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol so randomly created things are always boring and predictable?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh my... let me explain some basic biology, evolution occurs from random gene mutations and non random selection ie survival, the trait from the gene that best fits the habitat for the organism lives and passes on the gene to its off spring and their off spring to theirs and so on...is it that hard to understand?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i love this post because this is exactly how I feel and now you have just put it to words :) Thankyou!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

then how did everything get here?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Evolution doesn't explain how everything got here just how life changed, but scientist think that life started in underwater volcanoes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

how did the volcanoes get there?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not exactly sure how but it's something along the lines of magma erupting under water through openings in the earths crust and the minerals building up around the openings. Before you ask how the earth and everything got here, rest assured it was not god.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but if you believe in evolution and you are so sure that it is true, then you must know. If you can't even explain how things got here in the first place, how could evolution exist?? i will not rest assured it was not God because your argument is doing nothing at all to help you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Where is your proof of god? We are trying to use sense and logic to find answers and you are reading a 2000 year old book made by a group of very insecure people. That doesn't help your argument either. We don't know exactly what happened but we do have a good theory on how life started and how everything got here.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Do you have any idea of how complex we as humans are, how huge the universe is, how many stars there are, how perfectly everything works together? Our atmosphere is perfect for us to survive in, we have water to keep us alive, without it we would die. If thee theory that give something a billion years some live will have to evolve, well why isn't there any life on other planets? if we evolved according to this atmosphere, this habitat, why can't something else evolve in a different one???

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's where your wrong, when life first formed earth had a reducing atmosphere, this means that there was large amounts of nitrogen in the atmosphere and that kept oxygen from bonding with other elements. without oxygen, life could only be so complex. But after billions of years, nitrogen levels dropped and life that could use oxygen had an advantage of life that didn't and life evolved to use it. Also, the universe is not fine tuned for life. There have been studies that show life could start without gravity or light and still be complex. AND, you might wrong there could very well be life on other planets, like Europa.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but see, you still can't tell me how the atmosphere got there or how all the elements formed. evolution's theories go against it's other theories, like matter cannot be created or destroyed. according to my beliefs something put them there, according to yours, they could never come to be because there was nothing from the start. there can't just be nothing and then something comes out of nowhere unless something put it there.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If that's true then what or who made God? You shouldn't point out something we don't know if you don't have an answer yourself. Just because we don't know now doesn't we will never know.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God was always there, nothing created Him because He is the creator. God is not human, He is not like us. He was never born, nor will He ever die

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If he was never born that mean there was never a beginning , which also means that he waited an infinite amount of time to start the universe and sense infinite means never ending, he never created the universe.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That makes no sense at all. Just so you know, I don't want you to think I'm forcing my beliefs on you. I'm simply having a discussion and want to see why you believe in evolution. I know a lot of people get angry because Christians have the tendency to want to shove religion down other people's throats, I hate it when they do that and that is not my intention at all

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I never thought that that you were, and even if you were try to convert me your not doing a very good job. What does not make sense about it? if there is no beginning or end then it goes on forever. There for, he must have waited an infinite amount of time to make us but then that means that he never made us because if you wait for an infinite amount of time, you will never stop waiting. Creating everything out of nothing and something always being there both make no sense but we are still working on an answer to it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Scientists even have hypotheses for how DNA evolved, which to a lay person may seem impossible. It's complicated, and deals with RNA (still a genetic info. molecule today), which also has enzymatic activity, and is easier to spontaneously form under the right conditions than DNA. Later RNA evolved a separate function and DNA became the storage molecule of genetic info. It really peeves me when people say "oh well WHEN YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT IT, how could life have just come out of nowhere?" when obviously they haven't really giventhe thought into it. Yeah, OP, I'm sure you know WAY more than any scientist and are educated enough to know how life really started.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hi, I'd like to point out that there have never been good mutations. ALL mutations have been proven to be bad and will lead to a quicker death. Is this what you think has created the world? If so you are SERIOUSLY an idiot. You are trying to sound smart when you obviously know nothing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why does a mutation have to be bad? If a tiger was born with a gene mutation that gives it a slightly larger teeth or better eye sight, would that lead to a quicker death? of course not.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that is a mutation in one animal, those things are not passed down. If a human is born with more than 4 limbs, and there have been, their children would not possess that trait or it would be HIGHLY unlikely. Also, if things evolved that means everything on the earth at this time must have evolved at the exact same time in order for it all to be here now

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*facepalm* I can't even come back to this kind of ignorance , I could go into detail about how traits are passed down at the cellular level but that would not matter to you. All you will do it deny the information I'm giving you. All I'm doing is feeding a troll. Besides, even steps back in survival is change and still counts as evolution.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Go for it, I'm a pre-med major, atheist turned christian. When you go down to the cellular level of a species it is so complicated even Darwin himself claimed that the eye of a human is so complex there is no way it could have evolved. look it up

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But Darwin lived in an age before the discovery of DNA, atomic theory, and other discoveries that involve the process to which DNA is converted to proteins. You can be a pre-med major, this is high school education I'm telling you. Also, mutations can be good and it has been proven and genes with those mutations have been passed down and that has been proven. This is why there is sexual reproduction, 2 half's of a genome are fused and that complete genome is the genome of the offspring.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Everything is random. Deal with it. Question for Christians: Why doesn't God heal amputees?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

question; why do you think God feels the same way as us? just because you think having an amputated limb is horrible, doesn't mean God does.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Do you really want to know why God doesn't heal amputees? Because if this world were perfect and no one was sick, us Christians wouldn't need our God as much. No one would need a Savior if everything around us were perfect. There is an answer for every question.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

THANK YOU!! without suffering there would be no compassion. people don't understand that we were given a free will because God wants us to choose Him because we want to, regardless of the trials we face. and because of that free will we cause suffering in the world

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*sigh* How stereotypical.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If "God" created everything, then why doesn't he care about any of it?Genocide, poverty, AIDS, dirty water and much more in Africa, the Holocaust, BP oil spill, I could go on and on with these horrible things that have happened and yet these things happen and continue to happen. I thought "God" was benevolent and caring, hm?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because god entrusted the earth to human. All those poblem you stated were created by humans in one way or another

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Awesome. So God flooded the Earth when man became corrupt and evil in the Bible, but in the real world he doesn't give a shit?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He flooded the earth because there was so much evil

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes and now there is and has been more than ever but yet, no flood.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He promised never to flood th earth again

by Anonymous 13 years ago

why would he punishes us for something he gave us? he gave us the capacity to be evil, why did he?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

and don't forget that we are sinning just by existing of course. eternal sin and whatnot, makes complete sense

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He gave us a choice between good and evil eve since original sin.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what about all the natural disasters? you saying we cause earthquakes?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So what you think god randomaly shakes the earth?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no... tectonic moment

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah exacty I was talking to the OP about human evils

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OK, but who created God if a random event couldn't have created him because, according to you, he would have the power to create us

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that is possibly my biggest qualm with religions that believe in higher powers. if that power created everything, then how was that power created if there was nothing before that power?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why is it amazing? Give Chance billions of years, and something has to happen.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God is an idea, some people choose to have faith in this idea because it makes their lives better. In the end it doesn't really matter though, people should be able to choose whatever they want to believe

by Anonymous 13 years ago

God(for those that follow the Bible) created man and gave him original sin. Then had a son and sent him to Earth to be killed for the sin that he gave us in the first place. Clearly, God is not a planner. And where did God come from in the first place? Someone had to create him because, by your logic, he couldn't just appear randomly. Lastly, with all the evil that God took care of, why has he forsaken us now, when the world is worse then ever? And don't give me the argument that all this negativity is man made. First off, by your logic, God made everything, so he gave man the option to create this evil in the first place. Thus, it was all made by man. And if not, then its equally arguable that all the evil he took care of so long ago was also man made, because it was their choice.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

1st: god didn't give us original sin Adam and eve broke the first rule he gave them 2nd: he did that to make an example such as when he destroyed Sodom and gamorah

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok here's a question I'm hoping someone can answer: If some religious people don't believe in evolution, what do they say to all of the fossils we have found supporting it? And related to that, what is the explanation for the records of less-evolved humans we've found when Adam and Eve were fully evolved already?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Have you ever thought that maybe God purposely made it out so the "fossil evidence" would weed out his true and faithful believers from people who are not?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So he doesn't want us to use our common sense? He wants us to ignore what we can see and discover? What a FUCKING ASSHOLE.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

aww u think ur really cool cuz u can cuss! what r u, 11?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

At least he/she can form complete sentences. What are you, 10?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what r U, 50? I can, I just choose not to.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then you're even dumber than I thought you were. You CHOOSE to sound like an imbecile? Yeah, be proud of that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

im just not such a stickler that i need to perfectly write everything out. r u OCD or something?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think the point behind all this is do you know what we are talking about or are you to young to understand stuff like cell division?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Duh I know what cell divion is. I just choose to believe that God created everything, not that all species came from the tiny, bacteria-resembling creatures that lived in volcanos after the "big bang."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He created Adam and Eve. He created the option. And by the logic of the religious, he created everything else, thus meaning that he created original sin as a punishment to give them. Its no one's fault but his own that he created something that would so easily break rules and was incapable of listening. He made a faulty product, and then, instead of fixing us, decided that the negative he created was a fair punishment? And yes, he did create it(original sin), therefore making it possible for us to receive it. Or did original sin just randomly create itself? Please, tell me, does God wind up making a mistake at the very beginning and doesn't fix it, but instead punishes us with what he created in the first place? Or did original sin appear out of nowhere, which makes your argument invalid?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He gave them free will as a gift and told them the consequences of eating the tree of good and evil. So what they were tempted they had a choice.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Can we just stop posts like this one. No ones knows why exactly happen no matter how much you believe in it. You weren't there

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, but it's really fun and interesting to debate sometimes. And even though nobody can know for sure, scientific explainations have a lot of evidence backing them up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Everyone stfu about religious shit it just causes arguments, and then all the religious people claim they just want world peace.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@OP you are an idiot/troll to post this.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This post is really stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're not willing to search for answers, so you go for the simplest explanation. You are the reason religious people are so nauseating. You are what's wrong with the world.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This fails so hard. If things have to be created by something else, then who created God? Hmmm? Did he create himself?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then what created everything and I mean every other thing in all of existence?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not god...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then who or what?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Quite simply, we don't know, is it so hard to believe that there are some thing in our universe that we can't explain yet? and besides it's people like you that slow this kind of research down.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You are so stupid you don't deserve to live.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually when I try to comprehend life itself it makes me think there CAN'T be a God because nothing made by someone could possibly work as perfectly as life usually does.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, it's "try to" not "try and." It's actually fairly obvious if you have a brain.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow...it is horrible how many people like you have been brainwashed like this. It is even more ridiculous to think there is a god there when we have evolution to explain everything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It doesn't matter what religion you are. If you feel the need to argue about religion on the internet, you are ignorant and close-minded.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yet you commented

by Anonymous 13 years ago

-_- Do you see me arguing about religion?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you really don't care you wouldn't have bothered to say anything

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Forgive me for correcting the ignorant, then.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh yes, because you're not ignorant at all.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree with you on one part, it is impossible something as amazing as the universe was created randomly But that's where the similarities end. Your God may have created the universe, but I like to use facts to live my life. So I believe in the Big Bang Theory. I respect your opinion, but as an atheist, It seems improbable, or impossible really, that an "energy being" created all life. Here's a question I like to ask my religious friends who argue with me about this. If God created the universe, then what created God? He couldn't have just appeared randomly from thin air.

by Anonymous 13 years ago
