And get your money back!

Apple is apparently in the process of developing this.

Really?! I'm so pissed though cause I had 5 movies and a ton of music on iTunes that wouldn't fit on my iPod, and one day my computer broke and we had to get a new one. So now the movies, a lot of songs, and ALL the money I paid for them is gone.

Yeah, and that's a common complaint Apple gets all the time. Since they know exactly which account bought which music, the least they could do would be allow you to re-download it. In their defense though, they do make a point of recommending that you back up your files.

Haha that's true. But good I'm glad they're taking care of it :)

You can, all you do is go unde. your purchase history and file a complaint on everything you dont have saying you lost it and they will put it on to your account for download next time you open itunes. They even gave me a free song for my troubles.

They only do that for you once though. Next time that happens, you're SOL.

You can transfer your purchased items from computer to computer by right clicking on your ipod and choosing transfer purchases. It's simple really.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha I know how to do that, but some of the stuff wasn't on my iPod, so I couldn't transfer it.

ohhh I see, well sorry, can't help you there. :(

You can mail them naming songs that you bought and they can give you downloads for them. Once I put my .mp3 s for some of the songs I bought into my sims game and I deleted my entire game and lost my songs. I mailed Apple naming all of the songs I didn't have the file for, and they put some of the songs under "downloads" and it was free again. The woman was really nice about it. But I couldn't get songs that the file for it had changed.

When my computer crashed and I got a new one, my purchased items all transferred over. Is that what you're talking about?

Um...Wouldn't this be a way to increase piracy? You could buy a band's entire discography and then go onto your friend's computer, log into your iTunes, and them give them the same discography, costing the band's record company from $10 to $70 or so, and who's to say you have only one friend who wants to share your music? I know it doesn't take much effort to pirate music as it is, but this would make it even easier.
